I like this one because it goes over just four words repetitively versus other apps dive in and give you a whole phrase and when you’re a beginner, it’s too much and you don’t really advance, but I like this one because you can go back and relearn the words.
  • Do not try. Does not warn you before charging and Apple will not refund money.

App is ok. I tried it out but was not interested in keeping it. Was charged $79.99 with no warning. Contacted App Store and was refused refund. This has been an expensive lesson.
  • It says in app purchases but doesn’t say there is a charge until you’re just about ready to start.

For the love of all languages based in Latin, please include the article with nouns so we are learning whether it masculine or feminine without having to look it up separately

I do NOT like this. It’s just repeating words and it doesn’t hear you well and it just does not help you learn French.
  • Please make a dark mode

The app crashes or freezes randomly. It’s really annoying, especially when you’ve gotten really far and it doesn’t save your progress! Did the developers give up on this app? It seems like there hasn’t been any updates at all.

This app was pitched as ‘in-app purchases’ but it’s really a subscription. I deleted it when i found out.

I love using this app! However they need to fix one problem which is that the capital i and the letter l look exactly the same! There is no way to correctly spell "Il fait soleil" when you can't tell which letters are i's or l's! I am a perfectionist who wants a perfect score so this is annoying!!!

I really like this app. I'm AUDHD so my interests are intensely pursued until I get bored. Like my one semester of French in the eighth grade. I'm fifty five now and was seeing I'd hit a learning platau and decided to pick French back up and see how I faired. An app seemed logical, but apps aren't often kind to us. Lots of guilt over forgetting about it for a week or three. I did the free trial and it was the full lesson; not just teasers for 'purchase to try' features. The app is based on best practices for language learning. The lessons are just long enough to keep my attention. There's confetti of sorts when you master a series of new words. It uses celebration of a "streak" of daily practices as invective but it's not condemning. If you complete a full series of lessons you're gifted a 'life' so it basically let's you miss a future lesson while maintaining your streak. If you do miss several days it just welcomes you back and urges you to commit to a new streak attempt. The pronunciation recordings are more than adequate and the graphics and features are simple. The pronunciation mic is very sensitive. Which is an unnerving positive. I'm finding it draws me back each evening. That's something. Highly recommend.
