  • Bug limiting usage. Stopped using the app. No dev support after 1 year

I had high expectations of pestle and was very excited when I first learned about it. I ended up buying lifetime of pestle pro! After setting up family account immediately with my spouse, I started noticing an issue where my recipes got duplicated, and can’t be deleted. Also my recipes aren’t listed in all recipes! Even after reaching out to developer and getting an acknowledgment of the bug, I never heard back, and even with latest iOS pestle 1.9, the issue wasn’t resolved. At this point, me and my spouse have almost stopped using it. Might not have been the best AppStore purchase I guess! You live and you learn!
  • Best recipe app imaginable

This app has helped me organize so many random notes from across a lot of places in to one central location. It’s also made collecting new recipes from YouTube, instagram, etc. so much better. This app has helped me cook and maybe become a better cook.
  • The best recipe app ever!

Pestle is by far the best recipe app for iPhone. It is so easy to collect and organize recipes from web sites, emails. PDF files and even pictures of recipes. Highest recommendation!

I had a brilliant idea that I emailed to a friend. It was to be able to scan and save recipes using apple shortcuts to capture the information. After two weeks of intense practice building and demoing different applications I came across Pestle, who had figured everything out. I emailed my friend and I said I feel really bad. I thought I had a really good idea, and he says no, you had a really good idea, you just didn’t have it first. And that’s OK. Because Paola is awesome. I cannot recommend it enough.

Just got the Pestle app, and while I haven’t played with it that much - yet - I notice a couple of things that I would like to see. - I have many recipes saved in Apple Notes and Pages. Is there some way for Pestle to fetch them? Or even using (shudder, gasp!) MS Word..? - many recipes have notes or tips appended as a forward or a post script, but are not captured by Pestle. It would be nice to have a box to cut-&-paste such things. Does the Pro version allow such wackiness? If so, I will buy it immediately! Thank you ever so… ChrisP.

I just want to recommend this app to everyone. They personally looked into my account after it randomly deleted all of my recipes and they found out and let me know that Apple had signed me in with an all new account. I was able to recover the original account and everything is good as new.
  • Apple family sharing support

Love pestle, finally bought the lifetime membership so I can use on all my devices and save all my NYT and IG recipes here. Though for some reason even though I have Apple family sharing enabled, it treats my partners account like a regular account, so he can’t add any recipes to our home anymore, I have to add anything. I’ve reached out through support but still haven’t heard anything.
  • Would be 5 star with some fixes and improvements

Importing recipes creates a mess of cuisines and categories and trying to fix them is riddled with bugs. There are many repeated entries and they keep reappearing after being deleted. It’s a shame because it’s really easy to import recipes to Pestle but then it quickly becomes a mess without organization and it's just not easy to organize right now.
  • Where have I been this is awesome!

I have always been saving recipes from various locations into my notes for recipe planning and making shopping lists every week. This app makes it so simple to add a recipe from any location including Instagram etc and will just show you what you need to know like the ingredients and the instructions without having to go out and read a blog on someone’s life story and how it led to making this chili. 🤣💤. Wish I had found it sooner!
  • Not compatible with youtube?

Is this app not compatible with Youtube recipes? Disappointing as I thought it was. The recipe was very clearly included and formatted in the video description but the recipe would not import.
