Description

Experience the raw power and beauty of nature with this comprehensive self-guided driving tour through Yellowstone National Park! Yellowstone: This enormous volcanic caldera has captured the American imagination for decades, and you’re about to learn why. Full of awe-inspiring geysers, astonishing waterfalls, and some of the only wild bison and wolves on the continent, this park simply can’t be missed. Marvel at the 200-foot eruptions from Old Faithful and the even bigger explosions of steam and boiling water from its cousins. Peer deep into the Abyss Pool (if you dare) and follow a boardwalk through steaming hot springs which never freeze, even in the dead of winter! And try not to let your jaw drop too low when you see Grand Prismatic, an immense hot spring which radiates brilliant colors. Watch herds of bison graze in Lamar Valley and elk plod around Mammoth Hot Springs. And keep an eye out for Yellowstone’s elusive but always regal wolf packs! Along the way, you’ll hear extra details about everything Yellowstone, from the volcanic formation of the landscape to the corruption and poaching at the park’s inception and stories of the first explorers to trek through this magnificent wilderness. Start from any of the park’s entrances (North, South, West, East, Northeast) and tour with total flexibility. Featuring riveting stories, an engaging narrator, and easy automatic audio, this app puts exploration in the palm of your hand! Amazing app. We don’t know what we would have done without it. I spent hours researching for our trip and this app showed us so much more than I could have ever imagined. We love how it gave history as went along. Perfect!

Downloaded several. Only used a few. Worked okay while driving the Teton road. Interesting and somewhat informative. Tried the others for walking around Geysers but it was distracting me from just enjoying the views. So didn’t use it much inside the park.

Honestly, this app was a game-changer for our trip. The GPS worked perfectly it took us to all the best spots without us ever worrying about getting lost. It really felt like we had a friendly local guide in the car with us, telling stories and pointing things out along the way. My family had such a great time, and we all agreed it’s one of the best things we bought for the trip. Totally worth it!

The tour was amazing. We saw some pretty amazing sites and animals. The tour guide worked in the offline mode. We could start late and go everywhere. Bison are crazy. They stop traffic all the time. Be careful with the mad ones.
  • Disappointing!

Everything was going great on the Grand Loop then the app froze up after we left Old Faithful. I tried everything I could to fix the problem but nothing worked. Our family was really enjoying the stories … and halfway through the trip it stopped … disappointing!
  • Worth it.. just needs tuning

I downloaded everything before entering the park (a must) yet it still crashed no less than 7 times… app just shut off. However, I was able to fairly quickly get it back up. Other than that the only other thing I would suggest is although I loved the information gems, I would have liked to have been led to more places that are less known or even more sites that we definitely should have stopped into besides just the major ones. It seemed like as I was learning about trees I passed pretty important places I should have been made aware of… honestly, for $10 I felt like this was a win for us. I truly enjoyed the experience and it definitely added to our Yellowstone adventure!

This was a fun app to have as we drove around the park! Great tidbits of info on little items that brought new light to the park, and big insights on the main attractions! Just make sure to have it downloaded over WiFi- I originally did Not, and created an issue that was quickly resolved once downloaded on WiFi.

Made the driving part of our experience a lot more fun. The kids stayed engaged with the park and nature instead of disappearing into their gadgets.
