We signed up for a shared couple account, we were charged for a more expensive shared family account. Called customer support and got it sorted refunded the difference only to have the charge come through again. Called again and was refunded a third different amount. I don’t trust a company to handle my security if it can’t even get simple payment and account information correct. Promptly cancelled. Still haven’t gotten original payment refunded.

I have a house full of kids - different ages and stages of life, and I tried this product in an attempt to protect my family from the internet, so to speak. There are several reasons that I canceled my membership after a few days. First, I signed up for a monthly membership. I added my payment information and got notified of the monthly fee coming out of my card. Then, later in the setup process, they up-sold me to a higher level of service - choosing this service is literally just a checkmark. That checkmark immediately initiated changing my monthly membership to an annual membership, and I immediately got charged an additional $269. I had to call and spend time on the phone to get this corrected. So big strike right out the gate. As for the tech, it falls short compared to Bark, which is the product I eventually chose. For one, Aura doesn't provide a good solution for Windows computers. There is an application you can install but it is essentially just antivirus (which DISABLES other antivirus products). And even on devices like iPhones and iPads, it relies on installation of an app that essentially runs a VPN in the background to monitor everything, which dramatically slows down device performance. On top of everything, I installed the app on my own phone and setup my account as a "child", just to see how it works. One day later, I received a notification that my phone had accessed facebook through the app for 14 minutes. My phone does not have the facebook app, and I did nothing related to facebook. It was literally just wrong, which makes it worthless to me as a parent - if it tells me my kids are accessing something, but that isn't true, then what's the point?

I was so excited to use this service because I’ve heard nothing but good things about it but my experience with the app has been so poor. It’s incredibly clunky and slow. Constantly freezes and my touches don’t do anything. Would love to keep the service if the app is fixed soon

Might be worth to some but for people on a budget not so much!

App does not provide a customer support link. App does not allow to add monitoring items. I have two autos and neither is shown and no way to add them

Your VPN really screwed up my Apple phone, I actually had to call them to fix it and delete your program and then reinstall it without VPN on. So far it still OK for my desktop and hopefully that doesn’t change, but it doesn’t work good on phones anymore with the last Apple update. Hopefully you can fix it because my phone wouldn’t allow me to turn the VPN on or off even though the app said off.

Signed up for the $179.99 annual plan. App requested my phone number and email. App “scanned” the “dark web” for a total of 30 seconds and my account was setup. Other options include providing my drivers license information, any personal property info and of course credit card numbers, all banking info and of course my social. Speechless. SMH. 🙄

Doesn’t feel secure. Too many medals, constantly referring to the dark web, and I’m doubting my information is secure. Will cancel free trial.
