See how those hidden memories in slides are instantly revealed and scanned. IT’S AUTOMATIC - JUST ADD SLIDES: 1. Open a backlight source on your computer (or use the link provided in the app) 2. Hold the slide in front of the light 3. Long-press the capture button or simply say “Go” (if voice control is enabled) 4. See slides magically scanned and images revealed The app’s smart algorithm will automatically crop, rotate, enhance, and save the slide as a digital photo in the app. OPTIONAL IN-APP UPGRADE: The first few photos are free. For unlimited use, consider purchasing an optional paid plan (in-app purchase). Here are the premium features you get with a paid plan: * Unlimited scanning * Unlimited photo saving and sharing * Photo backup and access on other devices and online. The app offers an optional paid plan via monthly/yearly auto-renewing subscriptions**, as well as a One-Time plan which is paid for by a single upfront payment (valid for 2 years). These offer unlimited access to the premium mentioned above. **Payment will be charged to your App Store account at confirmation of purchase. Your subscription will automatically renew itself unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. You can manage your subscriptions and turn off auto-renewal by going to your Account Settings in the App Store. If offered, if you choose to use our free trial, any unused portion of the free trial period will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription to that publication, where applicable. Terrible app! Locks your photos inside their app/website and can’t get them without paying. Quality is terrible, with every photo over-corrected and grainy.
  • Didn’t work for my task and too late for a refund.

The app is very easy to use and convenient. And I love that it does not automatically get stored onto your phone, rather it goes to the photomyne website. However, you do need proper lighting to capture the image better. I ordered the photomyne backlight thinking it would be better

After finding 15 boxes of slides from the 70s, I have been able to get seven boxes scanned and still more to go, but it’s a blessing.🥹

I was initially excited about the possibilities that I saw with this on the initial download. It appeared to “scan” pictures virtually seamlessly, making crops where needed and adjusting the image all in one click. Wow! Then I compared it to the original and sometimes adjusting the picture was needed. Not bad for the 10 picture I took. I felt I could handle those little tweaks. I decided to purchase a better set up from Amazon to make the picture taking from my phone easier…so the slides to photos project was on hold for a couple weeks. When I was ready to start the larger project (100s of slides) my free version had expired. I had already decided I would make a one month purchase but thought I would take advantage of a free 3 day test drive. This required signing up for a year and canceling before the third day. I signed up, then cancelled so that I wasn’t charged for the yearly membership. While doing so, it stated my subscription should expire after three days. I began the picture taking process and got about 20 slides completed and I was kicked out for not having an active membership. That’s when I found out it takes a while for tech support to get back to you. All communication is via email. Twelve hours for first response which basically said I needed to send a second email with all my information. It took another 24 hours for the second response. Because of the dysfunctional tech support, I would not recommend this app.

  • Subscription is not worth it.

I got the pro version to try and enhance my photos, but it honestly did not enhance them one bit. I canceled my subscription on the last day, but they still charged me and refused to put through a refund even though I hadn’t used the app at all except the one day. It’s honestly ridiculous that I go to cancel my subscription on the final day and it won’t even accept the refund even though I did not use it after the free trial period.

A Disappointing Experience – Not Recommended I would advise against investing time or money into this product. Despite carefully following the provided instructions—excluding only the purchase of optional accessories—the image quality remained consistently subpar. Colors were inaccurate, fine details appeared blurred, and numerous scan imperfections were present, many of which could not be corrected even with post-processing. Upon reviewing the initial offer, I understood that the first few scans were free, which led me to believe that there would be no subscription requirement for basic usage. However, it seems I misunderstood the terms, as “free” did not necessarily equate to “no cost.” Additionally, the contract specified a 14-day cooling-off period during which I could request a full refund, provided that no paid services had been utilized. I would like clarification on whether test scanning of a few slides falls under the category of paid services, as this was not explicitly clear.
