    False advertising, sneaky charges, terrible customer service. I wish I could give 0 stars. All this app did was give me a headache

  • Terrible UX/UI when choosing a course

    I am currently between 2 courses and they are never simply right there for me. I can find one but not the other and it switches all the time. The recommendation engine is atrocious and needs to be fixed. Feels like it was designed for a user who only goes through a course at a time and not multiple courses. Just show me my recent courses that's it. Why so difficult? Why trying to be so clever?

    Apps that doesn't provide value will try to lock you into a subscription and then make it difficult to cancel. This app is no different. If it provided value for the exorbitant subscription cost, they would allow people to try it before committing to a subscription, which all shady companies like this make prohibitively difficult to cancel and/or hope you forget about it. If an app has value, people would voluntarily pay for it, instead of being forced into a shady subscription model.

    They should really clarify that it's a paid service even though the app is free to download. Starting off on the wrong foot with that tactic.

    Really used to enjoy this app, but as they add more subjects, it’s clear it’s all just pushing mainstream content. If you like fluoride, believe the news, and trust the government has your best interest at heart, then you will love this app! If you’re not into any of that, save your money. I canceled my one-year subscription I pre-paid for. It’s trash subjects.

    I realize I could just unsubscribe before the trial ends, but I don’t want to commit to even doing that much with the app without actually being able to see any part of what it has to offer. Would be better if it offered something free before forcing you to agree to give them money. It might be totally legit, but the way it’s setup and the vagueness of the description and advertisements make me think it’s just a scam that hopes people will forget to unsubscribe and give them free money every month.

    You have to sign up for free trial to try it. If you sign up for the free trial make sure you cancel right away because if you’re late you get charged $100 for the year. Not having monthly and going straight to that makes it feel like a money grab. I didn’t find the lessons useful, maybe for those who aren’t college educated it would be worthwhile but the course descriptions promise a lot more than the elementary material that is offered.

    I downloaded this app and did the trial. I decided I wasnt going to pay for an entire year. I canceled the subscription but I was still charged $99. I emailed them, 9 days ago, trying to get it resolved and haven’t heard anything back. Waste of money.
