  • Great for Motivation and Dopamine, But Then…

My ADHD makes it a struggle to keep myself on task, and gamifying habits and chores in this way has definitely been super helpful! Being able to customize your avatar and stats is also a fun way to add extra motivation to use the app. The problem is game portion eventually ends, and while the app is still useable as a to-do list and habit tracker, the extra motivation from the game is gone. Granted, it takes several months to get there, a point where I guess maybe neurotypical people will have developed the habits and therefore the developers thought it wouldn’t be necessary to keep going? For us neurodivergent people, it would be super helpful to be able to continue the game, even if it’s essentially just looping back to a first level copycat and boosting the monster stats accordingly. It would also be nice if we could customize the order of tasks and habits (including in the Today list) so you actually go down your list and truly develop a routine. I got the full paid version hoping this feature would be on there, but it wasn’t.

This app is helpful, and I enjoy using it. However, right now the app doesn't do a good job of displaying habits in the order they're due, and it always displays all the habits--even the ones that aren't due that day. While sometimes it's good to see everything, often it would be more helpful to only see the habits that need doing that day, and in the order they're ideally done in.

was tempted by the reward I would get so I’m writing this. I was looking for an app where I would level up and get points every time I’d do a task. I also enjoy this because as you level up you get stronger and therefore means you can kill monsters. It is nice because as you level up you progress further in the journey. There is a chat where you can connect with others as well. I like how there is a habit(can list the days you do and don’t want to do things), goal, and task section. I only wish there was a stopwatch section somewhere but otherwise I like it :)

Everything about this game is fun so far and I’m really motivated to get my tasks done to level up myself and also my character. I love the ability to explore different maps, update my equipment… again motivates me to get things done IRL.

Reminds me of Epic Win. Good for procrastinators
  • Effective but difficult to use

I am liking the app. But would be easier to use if it enables reordering the lists manually and retain that order. Also have different ordering for each list type - task, habit etc.
