Description

My Movies allows you to catalog your entire collection of movie and TV Series from our world class online data service containing data for disc titles (DVD, Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD), movies (Digital Copies) and TV Series, from various counties and in various languages - whether you would like to track your disc based titles, digital copies on storage, legacy formats such as VHS, LaserDisc and others, or simply keep track of what you are watching on streaming services, you have found the right application. Attention Upgraders! Users of the first version of our application for Mac, simply log into the same user account that you previously used, and your existing collection will synchronise to the new application. If you have titles with “Offline” or “Edited” statuses, please use the “Upload all offline and edited…” function in the file menu of My Movies 1 to transfer this data to My Movies 2. Contact our support on support@mymovies.dk if you need help. If you would like to evaluate the application, you can install My Movies, which is a freely available identical version with the exception of it being limited to 50 titles. Our database of titles is the best available, containing more than 1,100,000 titles on DVD, Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD, supplemented by a huge catalog of movies and TV Series for digital copies and legacy formats. Our service is community based, and if you have one or more titles that are not in our service, you can manually create and contribute the title(s). Should you find any incorrect data, our staff is always available for help. You can use My Movies Pro as a standalone product, or use it along with our mobile application softwares for iPhone, iPad and other platforms, allowing you to keep your movie collection synchronised between clients. The application requires you to create a user account, log onto an existing My Movies account, or log in through Facebook to be able to use the program. Your collection will follow your user account through our online servers, allowing you to switch between different clients without ever losing your data - we have clients available for all popular platforms. If you log in to an existing account, your current collection will automatically be synchronised to your device. You can within the program activate an online web based listing of your collection, allowing you to send friends and family a website that allows them to browse your collection. Feature list: - Add disc titles by scanning barcodes using the camera on your device, or search for disc titles, movies or tv series by titles. - Import movies or tv series from storage. - Integrates VLC player for playback of titles located on storage. - Watch trailers. - Add to different groups (owned, wished and more). - Set purchase details (price, place and more). - Personalise with location, tags, notes, rating and more. - Freely edit data, covers or posters on profiles and sync between devices. - Browse with list or cover views. - Detail view with detailed data including, synopsis, full cast list, and disc specific data including audio tracks, subtitles and much more for disc titles. - High quality front and back covers on disc titles, and posters on movies and tv series. - Search collection. - Many different sort options. - Advanced filtering. - Keep track of loans. - Online title collection to share with family and friends (http://c.mymovies.dk/demonstration). - Use same collection on multiple devices with automatic online sync. - Automatic profile update for latest and most accurate data. - Easily create and contribute missing titles to our service. - Report incorrect data to our staff. - Create PDF report of collection. - Import collection from other applications such as Delicious Library, Movie Collector, DVD Profiler and DVDPedia.

  • No longer worth it

Recent updates no longer allow a PDF listing to be created, even though this is still an option in the menu. When I selected it, I got a window with an HTTP 404 error, "The requested resource is not found." I couldn't find any further information on the developer's website on what I could do as a Mac user, so I guess I need to start over with a different app.
  • Used to be great on support... not now.

I've had a great relationship with this program and the people that support it. Now, after three weeks and several attempts to contact them for support, I have yet to hear back from them. What gives guys?
  • Doesn't include Macbook in its updates.

I really used to love to use this program. It WAS a great way to coordinate and keep track of any sized DVD / Blu-ray collection, even very large collections. They have never been very supportive of Macbook. Yet, they have programs that they charge monthly for iPhone and iPad. Getting the programs to successfully coordinate with the lack of updates for Macbook has been a real pain in the neck. I have had to completely redo my 7000 collection multiple times. If you are going to use OS and IOS, give us the same respect as Microsoft PC products. Either update it or delete it, but please stop wasting our time in wondering. I have used this product since it came out. This product was good at one time. Now, it is a waste of time for Macbook users.

When I found that my old movies collection app didin't work on the current OS (and I lost all data), I started to look for an updated app. MyMovies 2 Pro did the job. It took a relatively short time to re-enter my entire collection (hundreds of entries). Koodos to this app for a well-organized, easy and fast way to add titles and good organization possibilities.
  • Used to be great but...

I bought this movie database for all my Apple devices (Mac, iPhone and iPad). It was the very best I had tested. However, now its development is either discontinued (as in the Mac version) or its very buggy (as in the report and sync function for all versions). Its such a shame. This utility WAS great.

Comprehensive features, excellent synchronization between Mac, iOS, and iPadOS versions, and prompt support.
  • Barcode scan function does not work

Bought this for the ability to scan the barcode and not have to type in every bit of information. Tried several different movies and the barcode reader function never successfully worked. Don't waste your money
  • Great Personal Database

Very easy to add titles by scanning bar code or adding a title manually. Easy to change the sorting criteria if you want to create groups of titles that make sense to your collection. The only thing I could wish for would be a way to create a link between the cover art and a preferred program to play the movie in your collection. I have no idea how complicated that would be... I highly recommend this app!
  • My Opinion

Its ok. I have DVD Profiler and had it for years. I'm looking incase it shuts down. This is no replacement as it falls short of options for me to add and track options per movie (my tags and wants). If you just want the movie and info ~ this is fine. When you have had more it's hard to go backwards.
  • Import does not work and wipes database on incremental add

The importer does not work. I have tried impoirting a file of IMBD numbers. It says they numbers are not valid. I tried it with the tt prefix and without. I uploaded them into Collectorz and exported an XML form Collectorz. Same deal. I can't tell you the features are bad because I can't upload to even see that. One huge problem, it wipes your database if you upload more than once. So if you hvae a list of movies on Vudu and Amazon and Itunes and a list to movie files you have to consolidate and upload only once then presumably manually add everything from that point forward.
