  • Landscape only on a phone? Really?

    Great little app, except for the fact that it forces me to use my phone in landscape mode, which makes it very difficult to select tones one handed. Ridiculous to have to use two hands when you are wearing your guitar. People have been complaining about this on Reddit and calling fender for about 140 days now. Come on Fender step up.

    1. Need support for vertical phone orientation. Nobody holds their phone in landscape mode. 2. Why can’t I change the order (sort) the presets? This feels like such a basic missing feature. Otherwise the app is a joy to use with the Mustang Micro Plus

    Worked great for a while, then the amp stopped connecting if you don’t connect as soon as it turns on, and now the app crashes when I select the amp.

    Guitarist for 52 years /w many amps. The amp is OK but your Fender Tone App is STILL buggy. Disconnections, erratic behavior, and your new horizontally orientation just ruined the amp. Going back to a simpler Marshall or Fender tube amp.

    The haters can say what they want, but when it comes down to it, the app and the GT/GTX series are outstanding. At a back-saving 18lbs (GT100) and 34lbs (GT200), I can’t think of a better way to rehearse or gig. And, if you don’t want to load and unload and setup every pedal you own in front of a massive cab and head, this is the way to go. The app is great, although, the only landscape mode on iPhone can be a bit tricky, the features and customization it offers makes up for it in spades. When you can’t afford roadies or the latest and greatest high dollar amp /modeler/digital shoegaze special, these amps and this app are definitely a budget value!

    First, I have to say that the amp is awesome. But I got so frustrated with the app connectivity issues that I bought something from a competitor because I couldn’t stand it anymore. Now this amp is just too good and has no competition so I returned the other one and came back to this one. There are so many complains about this issue that you would think they would do something about it, but all I see is comment blaming the user and asking to reinstall. I did that multiple times and it doesn’t help. Start listening to your customers and please fix the software.
