Description

Mutual is the largest and fastest-growing dating app for members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints! (aka LDS/Mormon) Mutual is the place where single members of the Church can meet, chat, and date other LDS singles. No matter where you’re at along your dating journey, you’ll find people who relate to you, understand your background, share your values, and have similar interests to you. The app was created by BYU grads who know how difficult it can be to meet people who share the same interests, values, and standards. We don’t suggest using the LDS Tools directory! Let us be your wingman and provide you with the proper LDS tools to make dating less difficult. Mutual offers features that allow you to make deeper connections beyond someone's profile photo. By highlighting shared interests with potential matches, hosting frequent speed dating sessions, and more! At Mutual, we are committed to keeping the app a safe place. All profiles are reviewed by a real person to receive verification, and 100% of the profiles on the app are verified. We also make it easy to report inappropriate behavior in the app to maintain a positive environment for everyone. Just like every church building, visitors are always welcome at Mutual! Although our focus is on members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, anyone can join Mutual as long as they uphold our high standards. Even if they still use the M word (Mormon). MUTUAL UP - MORE FEATURES Upgrade to MutualUp for access to exclusive new features, including See Who Likes Me to see who has already swiped up on you, Profile Boost to be seen more often and match faster, Ward Hop to change your location and match around the world, Unlimited Double Takes to undo past swipes, Ninja Mode to go invisible to everyone except people you swipe up on, More Filters to filter by height, and Daily Notes to stand out and increase your chance of matching. ------------------- Mutual is free to use, but if you choose to purchase MutualUp, payment will be charged to your iTunes account, and your account will be charged for renewal within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period. • User support is terrible!

Shortly after setting up my profile, my account was locked because I was told I didn’t have a clearly unobstructed photo and that it would be fixed for me as soon as I added at least one close up, unobstructed photo and notified support. No big deal right. After about 2 weeks of reaching out I finally got a response saying that mutual “doesn’t tolerate any untruthful information” and that I would have to provide a government issued ID before they could help me! After this I forwarded the email with the original complaint they had sent me and reiterated that I had completed what they had asked! No response. After another week of trying to make contact with no response, I am done! I can appreciate what the verification process is trying to do but this is a ridiculous thing to have to go through for something that originally was a judgment call at best! Mutual needs either better user support or to have a much better approach to the verification process! In the meantime, I’ll be doing my swiping elsewhere.

This app is so great! I’ve matched with women that want to actually talk and make friendship. Sometimes there’s people that aren’t using their account but that can be easily fixed. I have not found my one yet but I feel like I have a bigger chance rate by using this app! :)

Online dating is a full time job but Mutual made it easy. This is a good platform to start off on. It gives lots of info and pictures about your potential match.

Nice that everyone is verified and not everyone has to be “churchy” to make connections.
  • Kind people

  • App Failure

App downloads, lets me begin profile setup, fails when choosing photos. No selected photos will save to upload. App keeps giving ‘app failure’ notice after giving an endless ‘loading’ spiral. I have deleted and redownloaded the app three times in the last half hour, trying to reboot it somehow. Same issue, repeatedly. I cannot progress beyond photos into actually using the app. I do not recommend this app to others. **Also creepy that the app will not save photos to my building-profile yet it WILL save my info that I set up-to that point *even after deleting the app and redownloading it.* First download>begin profile setup>photos won’t save>delete>redownload>my info from previous download was already input from the first time and the redownloaded-app opened at the photo section of the profile setup…then again and again each time I deleted and redownloaded. Weird that it wouldn’t clear itself out after deletion for a fresh start when redownloaded, especially since I couldn’t get through the full setup to truly be ‘using’ the app officially. Now I’m uncomfortable that partial of my information is out there which I cannot remove nor use fully to have access for the purpose that I even shared it for in the first place. 😩👻 -99/10
