The constant pop ups advertising new games to join every time I open the app is very annoying. If I wanted to join more than I am already part of, I would. The constant advertising of games when I already have a paid membership is aggravating.

I have requested and waited for multiple weeks to clam my points worth $60+, to no avail. There is nothing wrong with my PayPal, this is a scam beware.
  • More Stress Than Steps: Not Worth the Cost

While the idea of earning money for walking sounds appealing, the reality is underwhelming. The monetary rewards are minimal—usually just a few dollars, if that. Sure, extra cash is nice, but is it really worth the hassle? The focus seems less on achieving your step goals and more on managing your device. Their strict no-exceptions policy for legitimate phone issues during marathons adds unnecessary stress. If your phone dies or glitches, you risk losing everything, regardless of your actual effort. Factor in the annual fee, and it’s unlikely you’ll even break even over the year. Overall, it feels more like a gimmick than a motivating fitness tool.
  • Ads in push notifications are annoying

I have used StepBet for years and love the motivation but now I’m having to use it with notifications turned off because instead of notifications about my latest bet, I’m getting bugged about upgrading. I have no desire to upgrade which is why I haven’t done it. Getting spammed via push notifications is extremely frustrating.

Do not ever get a new phone during a game! My fitness app (and my watch) said I had enough steps and the next day I got an email saying I was disqualified because my health app didn’t register the same amount of steps. Apple wouldn’t help at all and StepBet didn’t care because they go by the health app. You’re not going to make much money on this app so I wouldn’t bother downloading.
