This app will make you think you’ll EARN money by walking lol I just did a 5 week challenge where the host added money to the pot and we didn’t get a dime of it !!! I guess StepBet gets all the extra SCAMMMMMMMMM

I participated in 1 challenge so far. Stepbet takes 15% off the total pot. So for my challenge they took $6390. Then those of us that won, split the rest. On my 5 week, $40 bet, I made $3.89. My total payout will be $43.89. That's a lot of risk for $3.89 if you consider illness, injury and tech failures. I still haven't received my money, so I'm not sure how much longer they will keep my winnings. I'm in one more challenge already. We'll see how this one goes, but I doubt I'll do another.

For as many diagnostics as they’re mining on everyone, why do they insist on logging us out every couple weeks?

I completed and won my 5-week walking challenge and only received exactly $40 that I put into it back. I was under the impression since 20 people dropped out of my challenge, the pot would be split among the remaining. What happened to the $800 from those that dropped? Even a couple bucks extra would have made it fun but this is no fun just to break even and then have to get my money back through PayPal.

Make sure you know they keep 15% of the total pot!! If you think you’re going to make out with a tidy sum for your efforts you are wrong. The most recent game I was part of saw StepBet keeping over $9k of the pot and the “winning” participants getting a profit of 13 cents. Yep! $9k for them and 13 cents for “winners” if you can call it that

My only complaint is the amount of time it takes and refreshes for it updating my steps.
  • Wish Syncing Worked Better

I was really excited to use this app, but it does not sync accurately with Apple health data. I’ve tried every fit the web suggests & it still reads 5k less steps than accurate. No update has fixed this bug. My loss, that’s what I get for betting I guess!

This app will not update to reflect my steps in Apple Health. I have even went to the point of counting steps I take and it’s wildly inaccurate! I would rate this 0 if I could.
