  • Decent application

This application performs fairly well, but has some room for improvement as well. in general, the application provides thoughtful programming for the novice lifter. Nevertheless, intends to gravitate more towards bodybuilding, centric goals. For example, the metrics for progress and tracking are bodybuilding centric. This application could vastly improve if it was able to provide programming specific to an individuals desired goals in particular ones that do not pertain to bodybuilding. a good example of this would be that the Apple would provide programming that helps an individual achieve their goal towards a one rep max back squat or a 400 m run. overall this is a good application. Still has a long way to go.
  • Great tool

Overall it’s a great app. Not too expensive for a years worth. It’s helped me a great deal as I’ve lifted before in the past but never been terribly knowledgeable of how to do exercises properly or even which muscle groups to do etc. personally having a personal plan to stick to is what helps me stick to working out and so far this app has helped me I’ve been going consistently for a month. My only complaint is that sometimes it seems to ignore your equipment particularly it always wants to do bands even if you say you don’t have it. The initial stating your experience doesn’t seem to be a great start for it learning your initial weights. It will be like okay squat 50lbs which I could do that all day. But then be like okay let’s bench 170lb which is like my max on a good day. It would do better to start out with an assessment either asking you want you can do. Or basically each time you’ve done a weight for the first time have you keep increasing each set until you can’t or so the max effort thing the first week to get a better picture of what you can do. It just took a lot of manual tweaking to get the app to learn my weights. Oh and the last thing is the supersets can be rediculous sometime. Like it will ask you to lift 20lb immediately for 50 on the bar which tbh I’d prefer the same weight (unless I was at the gym and had access to any weight instantly ) or one time it needed a superset Bench press they. Immediately do a bench crunch where you have to move the whole dang bench out. It seems like the AI isn’t aware of optimal supersets in terms of comvience and ease of swapping
  • Stops music from playing

Every time I log a set it or end a rest period the app stops my music from playing and I’m forced to hit play again
  • Not for women

I have been using the app for several weeks. I entered my age and weight and the fact I’m a woman, but it gives me the most impractical exercises. The majority of the example videos are young men. The ones that are women are super fit and young. If I were that fit I wouldn’t need an app to guide me. Why ask question in the profile if your algorithm and AI are going to ignore it. I try to replace the exercise but the options are just as ridiculous.
  • I would give this 6 stars if I could

As a beginner this app is literally the reason I wasn’t completely lost at the gym. It’s incredible, provides split workouts also tells you which muscles you’re targeting.
  • Barbell weights

I’d be nice to add if you have 1 or 2 barbells so it can make routines easier to set up
  • Accessory Muscle Groups

They don’t add to the workout, it acts as if I never even clicked them.
  • Great Workout App

I really enjoy this app. It is well worth the purchase if you can’t find the time to create your own workouts. The workouts and truly exercises. Definitely sweat inducing. My only suggestion would be if the developers could find a way to be able to create multiple workout locations. Building your different gyms. I travel for work and always find myself in different places with different workout equipment.
  • Our daily workout log

My wife and I work out in our home gym. We use Fitbod as a journal to keep track of progress. Since I have been working out long enough to create my own routine, I wish that the app would allow us to add our own exercises. I do not need to track calories and just wish that I could add more variety to the existing library.
  • 5 stars, just missing a feature

I’ve used this app for a few years now and love it, but I also mix in class workouts like Pilates and barre. The app doesn’t recognize those logged from an Apple Watch and you don't get credit on the calendar for streaks from that type of workout. Not sure why it logs a run or walk from apple health but not other forms of exercise. Would love to give five stars when this feature is added!
