Used this app many times over the years. It’s me on the reasons I bought this stethoscope, which was not cheap, now to save for my family or myself costs more moola. Not happy. Go elsewhere! I don’t want to track 100’s of patients, just my close family and friends.
  • Won’t work at all unless I sign up for a two week free trial—

I downloaded the app and created an account only to find that I can’t even use the stethoscope features without signing up for the two week free trial. Since I am about to leave on vacation, this is useless. I don’t want the paid features.

Well worth the money for the price. It gives you a peace of mind and saves money going to the doctor or ER.

Stethoscopes have so much artifact it’s useless, and they charge you like $20 monthly for it
  • Horrible customer service

EKO won’t acknowledge Apple Pay subscription plan !! HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE customer service! DO NOT buy the yearly EKO subscription plan through Apple Pay using the App Store! YOU WILL PAY $199.99 BUT YOU WILL NOT GET ACCESS! THE MONEY WILL BE LOST! Why? Because, EKO will refuse to acknowledge your purchase and not grant you access to their subscription. I called EKO as soon as I realized I had been using the app as a free trial, not the subscription plan I thought I had purchased. EKO’s response was “ just buy a new subscription directly from our website not using Apple Pay ”. Seriously! That’s the reply I got. Just pay double for the same product! I sent EKO screenshots of my Apple Pay subscription purchases and Visa card statement substantiating my purchase, but EKO kept saying they don’t see it in their records, implying I’m lying and THEY STOPPED ANSWERING MY EMAILS! So unbelievably rude!! I’m honestly in disbelief that a company is willing to tick off a customer for such a small amount! To me it’s a matter of principle. I paid for a subscription plan and I expect to get access to the subscription plan. Nothing more. I then reached out to Apple Pay and they would only refund a prorated amount stating they have no way to varify that I didn’t get access to the subscription. So in short, I paid for a subscription plan but ended up getting NO access. Clearly there is a glitch in the EKO app - Apple Pay connection but it should not be at the customers problem. EKO should own up to it and provide me with the subscription I paid for. I plan to spread the word as much as I can, to warn other physicians and providers of this. I find it particularity disappointing since this is clearly a luxury product and being marketed as such, but their customer service is more like buying something from Walmart . Good luck friends. Spread the word to others please so other busy providers don’t end up waisting hours and loosing money on this, like I did. Thank you.

EMS and providers are not the only medical professionals that use your products. Nurses, respiratory therapists, and many others use them too. I’m not giving my work e-mail because I don’t use it and never check it. Love the Core, but the app has been uninstalled.
  • Expensive garbage

It’s annoying. Constantly have to re-login. Constantly not recognizing my core 500. The core 500 would be a lot better if it allowed wireless headphones to connect to the device directly instead of having to use the app and signup for an account.

I originally bought the Eko Littman stethoscope during the pandemic so I could better hear patients in a noisy environment. It worked great and I believed I could hear better. Fast forward a few years, I am now a private duty home health nurse. I compared sounds with the amplifier and without the amplifier, and I much prefer listening without the amplifier. Some sounds like heart murmurs are difficult to hear through the amplifier. And diminished breath sounds are amplified to where they sound normal if you don’t know your patient. I was not impressed with the “ecg” ability. It looks nothing like an actual ecg and is only useful for visualizing arrhythmias. I’ve gotten to where I just leave the amplifier off of my stethoscope because using the stethoscope with the amplifier attached and off mutes the sound. Would also like to add that the on button is very easy to accidentally turn on and drain the battery so I usually have to keep tape on the button so it stays off.
