  • App crashes after update.

    Using the app on my iPad Air 4th generation, the app now crashes after the latest update and asks for me to log back in, repeatedly.

    Upon opening the app, there is a dialog that reads “Loading Bible” at the top, where the Old and New Testament selections are located. This dialog remains for about 3-5 seconds and then the app quits. iOS 26.3.1(a) on tablet. iPhone does not have the same issue.

  • Great content/recent login issues

    This is probably one of my most used apps, it’s worth the couple of dollars to have the entire MacArthur Study Bible easily available to look something up. I find myself using it more than the physical MSB because of the quick links to cross-references. But there has been some recent login issues. Almost every time I go into the app now it needs me to login again. It’s not the end of the world, but worth mentioning for developer awareness.

    This used to be my favorite bible app. It has now become unusable with the last so-called upgrade. Deleting and reinstalling has no effect. Now after multiple years of having this app, it keeps kicking me out after 3 seconds. It accepts my sign in and then I have to reinstall the app time after time. Enough of this nonsense!

    This app has been a lifesaver for me in terms of the rich content. However, the extra resources I paid for keep disappearing. I love listening to the topical sermons on specific verses and passages, but I keep having to re—download and now it’s just showing blank lines where the links should be.

    I own a physical copy of the “MacArthur study bible” in LSB, this has everything the study bible contains all this in an easier format, I did pay the 5.99 so i don’t remember what isn’t included in the free version but it is well worth it. I used apple login to login unfortunately so now my login is tied to Apple, I was suggest manually setting up your email and password and not letting Apple do this. You will get logged out every now and then but let’s have grace and just re log. The paid version has so much including the sermons by MacArthur, maps, just a treasure trove of information about the Lord.

  • Audio not working, login not working, kicks me out

    I’ve noticed that when I play the audio—whether I’m at work or anywhere else—chapters like John 8, Galatians 2, and others keep skipping verses. It happens constantly, almost every verse, which I’ve never experienced before. Lately, it’s been happening all the time. Also, the app keeps logging me out. And now there’s is no resource for me to even look At. Why?

    I’m shocked this app has even 1 star. The information and J-Mac get 10 stars. The app function and log in process get a zero. I really really like this app but I can’t log in. Please fix! I emailed the church and they told me to email the app developer. No response from anyone. I’m considering moving to a different app. 😞

    I moved out of state but always come back to the teaching of the late pastor MacArthur . I never realized how much the study bible helps my understanding of the word. I love the other verses for reference . I recently switched to android and I kid you not I returned the phone a big draw back was that the study bible isn't supported with a new update to work with android . I went back to iPhone and discovered the daily bible I love this feature ! If you ever do update I'm hand writing the weekly scripture to my calendar widget to help me memorize my weekly verse if you update please make it match the weekly verse plan
