    Limited access to many that were previously accessible. You can get them on the “premium” with a free 7 day trial. No doubt an additional charge. This is not a cheap app to begin with and will not renew this time around. Been on the app since 2019.

    I particularly appreciate this app for a variety of reasons, beginning with the short survey it asks at the beginning to help you identify what your objectives are and ideal time of day and desire outcomes. I also appreciate the five session on boarding series that teach you the basics of meditation. These are guided by actual people who talk to you and make everything feel very accessible yet also create mindfulness as they are doing that and leading you through a session. I feel at least 20% more grounded and happier

    I absolutely love the Happier app! I have benefited tremendously since I joined several years ago. As a 73-year-old woman, I would love to hear more topics about gracefully accepting the inevitable aging process. I appreciate and value the Happier app, and would love to hear more about this subject. Thank you so much for helping me be happier, keep up the great work💙
  • Helpful Mindfulness and Self Awareness Practices

    This app (along with Dan Harris’s book) has had a massive impact on my wellbeing over the last fifteen months. I really value the conscientious and “real world” grounded presentation of meditation practice and philosophy from Dan Harris, Joseph Goldstein, Sharon Salzberg, Sebene Selassie, and Matthew Hepburn; these have been my favorite teachers, and there are several others who can appeal to a wide range of listeners in terms of stage of life, primary concerns, meditation preferences, etc. The app is easy to use, meditation courses and podcast episodes are easy to search for and save, so it does not feel like talking on a part time job to learn to meditate (unlike some other meditation apps). The podcast has thought provoking interviews from practitioners and celebrities alike, and while it is available elsewhere, I get more out of listening to the podcasts here, largely because it’s separate from other distractions.

    Really appreciate how the meditations are designed for real world relevance. I also appreciate the short dharma talks and how the meditation guidance often mimics the periodic guidance you’d experience at a (IMS) retreat setting. The teachers are so different, yet all are amazing.

    Can’t recommend this app enough! A friend gifted me the 30 day guest pass and I fell in love with the simple, no fuss or frills approach to meditation. The beginner’s guide was so helpful, and I just never stopped from there. Currently doing the Healthy Habits course — love it.

    Changed the review to reflect the positive response to this review. Since writing this, the company has updated the app to include support for the Apple Watch. And they updated me along the way to give insight to what they’ve been doing. Fantastic team. Older review - One of the main reasons I liked this app was because you can stay off your phone and use your Apple Watch to meditate. They dropped support for Apple Watch.

    I downloaded this app because the App Store description said you could watch 10 videos with the Dalaï Lama for free. However, after answering a million questions, you have to subscribe for $99/year or do a one-week trial (free, but they will automatically charge you $99). NO THANKS.
