  • Opens on its own every time I start the Mac

The app is not set to open at login but it does (EVERY TIME) no matter what. I have no apps set to open at start up; much less this MS app. I quit all apps before I shutdown Mac. No apps; not even Apple apps, open automatically after starting up Mac. No windows automatically open (popup) by themselves (except this one). There is absolutely NO reason why this app should open automatically but it automatically opens every time I start up my Mac. I looked for fixes. I checked settings. I have no choice but to uninstalling.
  • No Applescript support

The Applescript support has been missing for years now, and keeps getting pushed back Feature ID: 88537. Pushed back another year (again). Contacts are still mostly useless on new outlook. It's close to impossible to search for them and filters are broken. Copilot removes manual spelling and grammar checking. You can’t add new words to the dictionary.
  • Needs multiple languages for autocorrect

The only reason it’s not 5 stars in my opinion is that there is no way to add multiple languages to autocorrect so if you are typing an email in anything other than English, even if you have that keyboard enabled on Mac, it will not automatically detect it.

  • Lack of GAL Browsing in Outlook for Mac

    1
    By JamesShinevar
I’ve noticed that Outlook for Mac does not allow browsing the Global Address List (GAL) like Outlook on the web or Windows does. This makes it difficult to find contacts and distribution lists unless I already know their names or email addresses. In today’s environment, users frequently switch between Windows, Mac, iPhone, Android, and other platforms. We expect a seamless and consistent experience across all devices — especially for core features like contact discovery and directory access. Please consider prioritizing GAL browsing in Outlook for Mac to bring it in line with other platforms. It’s a basic feature that significantly impacts productivity and usability. Thank you!

Have been using the app for 6 months now. Never had any issues. Good, familiar user interface.
  • Mac Users can’t disable updates

This is another reason why I generally hate MS products. They pretend to make their apps cross-platform with the same experience but they continue to cobble macOS users. I have an older Mac Mini running Mojave - Because it won’t go any higher AND I have expensive Adobe suite apps before they switched to the subscription model, so I CANNOT update the macOS in any case. Microsoft auto updated despite the fact that I unchecked the auto update checkbox and in the night (Like a thief) it updated all of my MS apps and now none of them boot. Microsoft is deplorable. If I could give a half star, I would.
  • Keeps Prompting me for a Password for an Account that No Longer Exists

The app keeps prompting me for a password for an account that no longer exists. It is basically unusable at this point. The account is not listed under any account settings nor under Keychain Access so I cannot remove it. I have tried all online suggestions including a completely fresh install. Nothing makes the password popup go away.
  • Best 365 product

Outlook is my favorite mail app, it does everything I need and easy to setup. I am not the biggest fan of any of the other Microsoft 365 products, so it’s nice to have something that feels comfortable when I open up my work pc.
