Description

Help when you need it – SeizAlarm detects irregular movements. SeizAlarm is a user-friendly iPhone and Apple Watch app that allows those with irregular movements and other disorders to alert emergency contacts when they need help*. FEATURES: - Detect abnormal or irregular movements via the motion sensors on the iPhone and/or motion sensors or heart rate sensor on the Apple Watch. Sensitivity controls allow you to set customized settings specific to you. When irregular movement is detected, emergency contacts will automatically be contacted via multiple channels (phone call, text message, and email). - Send immediate help requests manually to emergency contacts. - Also available is a manually activated time delayed help request feature (via the "Time Delayed Help" button) that can be helpful. You are able to custom set the delay time in the settings. When an irregular movement warning is initiated you will see a countdown which can be extended via the press of a button. If you end up becoming unresponsive during irregular movement then once the timer ends then a help request will be sent. - When a help request is sent, your contacts will be contacted with GPS coordinates (if available), so they know exactly where you are. - You are also able to track your irregular movements with robust logging features. A log dashboard gives you a high-level view of past events. You can also export log reports. - SeizAlarm also supports multiple emergency contact support, so more than one person can be contacted when you need help. - Optional audible siren and/or custom voice message that plays if a help request is sent. - International phone number support for emergency contact(s). - Now supporting "Family Setup" watches! Help is just a button press away. Start taking back your independence today. Carpe diem–seize the day! For questions or feedback, contact us at contact@seizalarm.com. Your input is vital in improving future versions' detection accuracy and reducing false alarms. NOTES: *New accounts receive a 2-week commitment free trial of the help request service which allows the user to manually or automatically (via irregular movement) request help from emergency contacts. Once the trial ends, the user must subscribe to the help request service to continue to have the ability to request help. The help request service is an auto-renewing cost of $17.99/month or $179.99/year. * SeizAlarm is NOT an FDA approved medical device. SeizAlarm does not prevent seizures, should not be used for diagnosis, treatment, mitigation or cure of any disease and is not a substitute for medical care. * Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life. * Recommended placement of the iPhone for irregular movement detection is on the arm using an armband. * Longer sessions of Watch based irregular movement detection and heart rate detection may dramatically decrease watch battery life. * Subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. * The payment will be charged to the user's iTunes Account at confirmation of purchase. The account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, and identify the cost of the renewal. * Subscriptions may be managed by the user and auto-renewal may be turned off by going to the user's Account Settings after purchase. * No cancellation of the current subscription is allowed during the active subscription period. Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when the user purchases a subscription to that publication. The robust irregular movement log features require no subscription. Terms of Service: https://seizalarm.com/terms/ Privacy policy: http://www.seizalarm.com/seizalarm_app-privacy-policy.pdf

Got the app for our daughter after her Epilepsy diagnosis. She’s had two seizures and the app detected nothing, so her Mother and I never received an alert. Does not work.
  • It’s Paid only

Was looking for a good app to track my seizures and alert people of them just to realize that this one is locked behind a paywall, for only a yearly subscription of over 100$! Seriously?! I’d rather go get a seizure dog instead that’s outrageous!
  • Monitoring constantly offline

We tried to use this app to monitor my son who has epilepsy via an Apple Watch. Almost every morning we would get an alert from the app saying that monitoring was off-line. It would typically be off-line for most of the day. We contacted the company, but they were unable to fix the problem.

  • Family sharing

I am sick and tired of constantly deleting the seizure app on my phone and watch, because on my watch comes up family sharing, and asked if I want to share, but I hit no it keeps spinning and spinning, and nothing happens. Therefore, I have to delete everything and reinstall it and later on the day, I have to do it all over. Please get this software glitch fixed. I cancel my prescription!👹

I love this app. It’s pricy but if you need it you need it. Sometimes after a seizure I have trouble opening the app and navigating to the home page. I would like it if they made a widget for iPhone but having on the watch and on the phone is great.

I just started having sz 3 weeks ago . Grand mals. It just happened and keeps happening. I found out about this app in one of my sz groups on fb and decided to give it a try . It has made it a lot easier for myself , my husband and my daughter. They didn’t want to leave me by myself. The watch has alerted them several times about me having a sz . Yes it does kill the watch battery quickly . I don’t have to wear it at night because I sleep next to my husband . So he feels when I have a sz . They feel better letting me sleep in and not waking me up in the early morning . I just put my watch on when I take my 6am dose of keppra . I’ve had 25 sz in 3 weeks . And 10 in the 2 week trial . We are going to keep it because it gives us a peace of mind . Thanks for this .

my apple watch detected a fall and called 911 for me but this app also started alerting for seizures and went off even when ems found me. i was suffering from multiple seizures including the tonic clonic ones! i was intubated on scene and was in the icu for about 4-5 days. if my watch for some reason didn’t detect my fall and call 911, this app still would have potentially saved me as it did alert my contacts.

I have had two seizures since I downloaded this app and it did not detect either one. It’s an absolute waste of money.
