  • App Goes Wonky

Frame was acting oddly, going dark. Reset caused my account to crash. New login and all my info is gone, as is my subscription (paid). Had this frame for several years no issues, now it’s a daily occurrence to get it powered on and I’ll spend today, repeatedly trying to get my account back.

The Nixplay app is honestly one of the easiest apps I’ve used. Uploading pics straight from my phone is super fast, making albums is lowkey fun, and slideshows? Done in seconds. The interface is super smooth, and it’s not confusing at all even for someone like me who likes everything simple and quick. The best part? I can share photos with my fam instantly, even if they’re miles away. Seeing my favorite memories pop up on my frame every day actually makes me smile it’s kinda addictive ngl. I feel like it actually brings my photos to life instead of just scrolling endlessly through my camera roll.Honestly, if you’ve got a Nixplay frame, this app is a no-brainer. It makes the whole experience way more personal and fun. Lowkey, I use it literally every day, and I’ve already shown it off to all my friends. Can’t recommend it enough 10/10 would download again.

The Nixplay app has been awesome — it’s easy to use, runs smoothly, and feels really intuitive. I like that I can organize albums, add captions, and arrange photos exactly how I want them.
  • Why a subscription?

Nixplay was great when it was free. Then some trust-funded CEO decided to take a service that required zero investment in hardware on his/her part, and make it a paid subscription. For no reason at all other than to make money. To paraphrase Hank Hill: “These are my photos. On my computer. That I own. In my House.” Shame on Nixplay for making a product that needlessly charges its users regular fees.

We’ve used Nixplay for years. Their new storage plan is as low as you’ll find. So if you like paying for more subscriptions, use them, or just buy something else that has reasonable storage, and save your money.
  • Good Frame, but App and Subscription Lose Stars

I like the frame and the quality of the display. It looks nice & operates as you would hope. The photos are clear and the transitions are great. I do not like that you have to pay a subscription to keep more than 500 megabytes of your own content on their frame. They lock you out of the content you had before on the subscription was enacted and there isn’t away to save the locked content. They do not allow you an SD card option to offload their server. More over their app gets confusing with how the albums are built, how to share w friends, and keeping the content organized. I would not but this frame again, nor would I recommend it.
