I’ve used this application for a number of years now. The more I use it the more I love it. It pretty much runs my life and business
  • Stupid, Troublesome And Worthless

This app only has a few, unimportant features that set it apart from the native Apple Calendar app. I rarely use Fantastical because it has a cluttered UI and it doesn’t have any features that help my business and compel me to use it. It’s also the only app out of the dozens that I have, that requires an “app specific password”, which is time consuming to do. First, you have to go online to Flexbits and read about that. Then you have to go online to your iCloud account, sign in and generate the password and then go to Fantastical on your phone and computer and enter it. We don’t pay to struggle with an app to get it to work. Unfortunately, I didn’t pay attention and it auto renewed on me so I thought that I would use it on a just recently purchased new iPhone. But Fantastical won’t update with my phone computer iCal and says that it can’t sync with iCloud and shows an error with a red triangle. It asks to enter my password (which is app specific via iCloud)) which I’ve done and it won’t accept it and asks that I create an app specific password. I created a new one and it won’t accept it. This is stupid and frustrating.

I’m still learning how to navigate with this app and get more organized, but the features this app has is incredible.. I’ve never found an app that offers so many useful features.

Most of us have multiple calendars, Outlook, Google, Apple etc. Fantastical syncs merges / updates flawlessly - Use it a single source! So great!
  • Subscription Version Needed

I wish you could pay monthly for an annual plan. To really make this app sing, you need to pay for it. Not being able to work on Watch at all without paying is a huge bummer.

Fantastical is everything Apple’s Calendar wishes it could be. The design is clean, the layout is intuitive, and adding events feels effortless. I love how I can just type “Meeting with Ray at 3pm tomorrow” and it knows exactly what I mean. It syncs perfectly with iCloud, Google, and Outlook — no glitches or duplicates. The widgets and menu bar view are super convenient for quick checks, and having my to-dos right next to my events keeps me on track. I also appreciate the weather and conference call integrations — small touches that make a big difference. I use Fantastical daily for both work and personal life, and honestly, I can’t imagine going back to any other calendar app. Worth every penny!
  • Too many bugs and design problems

I’ve had so many frustrations with this app, including small and large bugs that sometimes are hard to resolve. What’s more, the app’s “killer feature”—the ability to add events with natural language—has some big design problems that make it frustrating to use. There are many times that I want a place name in the event title (for example, “Lunch at Mom’s”) and the app will repeatedly remove “at Mom’s” from the title and put “Mom’s” in the address field and “Lunch” in the title…. which is NOT helpful. It’s too much of a hassle to continually mess around with those event titles and deal with the app’s bugs. So I’m not going to pay for this bad user experience after my first year runs out—no thanks!
  • One calendar to unite them all

Fantastical units my iCloud and Google calendars and Reminders and even allows me to move an item between them. It is easy to configure calendar sets and switch between them so I can see what I want.
  • Fantastical is still worth the money to me

I have been a huge fan of Fantasical since the early days. Not only was the natural language parsing innovative and exciting, but their careful attention to fit and finish as well as rich assortment of keyboard shortcuts make it a program that’s easy to use with mouse but one that rewards power users with speed and precision when you adopt its powerful keyboard shortcuts. I like their first attempt at making a liquid glass interface, and I do feel that the moments when it lets me down with legibility issues has more to do with Apple’s programming environment then problems in Agilebits’s code. I think it will quickly get refined with further enhancements as they are ready.

I have this software on all my Apple devices. I have used it for years. Reliable - easy upgrades - and has the features I like.
