Last year, my wife and I were traveling when the engine began to run weakly and roughly. I ran FIXD and it told me the #1 plug port had died. When the mechanic ran his scan, I asked him what it showed - the #1 plug port had died. I was so glad that FIXD had accurately diagnosed the problem AND gave me a sense of security against mechanic “misinformation “. This particular mechanic was very honest and reasonable, but I felt a lot better with FIXD providing and confirming the info I was getting. Thanks!

  • Great sensor/ poor app support

Be aware that they will charge you $100 in a week and then every year afterwards. Sensor works great but the app is a scam. I was able to catch the charge last year and get the refund. Waiting to see if I will get the refund this year.

I wasn’t sure what to think when I purchased this. It is amazingly easy to use. All you have to do is plug it into the port and open the app. I love this device!

I love being able to find out what the codes are and what needs to be fixed. Wish that it would allow me to tune my Nitro to make it more fuel efficient or more powerful.

I used it a couple of times on my car and did not use for quite a while. A few days ago I scanned my car and the app never asked for any approval of purchase. I noticed a bank charge of more than 100 dollars. I then cancelled my account quickly and going to ask for refund since my intension was to use basic functionality from the start. I think the trial must have run out without me noticing. never again.

Bought to diagnose a 10+ year old Mercedes SUV with a suspected sensor issue causing bad/incorrect check engine code. After running FIXD diagnostic cycles 6x, fixing the two repair items, the MB dealer ultimately said the issue is not what the OBD2 code reader shows, it is a bad engine control module sensor, throwing multiple codes for things that don’t actually require repair. By relying on FIXD I spent thousands on a “repair” that the FIXD plug in cannot clear the error code for (even after a mechanic independently diagnosed and addressed the issue the scanner is identifying). Ultimately this left me with a useless diagnostic scanner that doesn’t work to clear codes after repair, and since I cannot renew my license plates with a check engine light in my older SUV — maybe worth $8k — can only be sold for parts. The whole point of using FIXD was to diagnose issues and avoid spending a large sum ($10k) only to have a problem that still cannot be resolved. I do not recommend buying! FIXD will charge for the device, then constantly try to upsell to “Premium” version (which, as far as I can tell, does nothing more than provide a Yellow Pages/Google style directory of nearby repair shops, most of whom don’t even work on my make/model of car), yet does nothing work to accurately diagnose and clear error codes. Wasted $; feels like fraudulent advertising.
