  • The worst app ever

This has to be the worst app there is in the app store. Not to mention that it’s built by Adobe, such a big company cannot even have the simplest features like changing font, font size, and it’s literally impossible to read anything on it. Not to mention, buying a book that requires this app to read it is beyond ridiculous!

Do not use. Find another way to download your e-book. This app has a bug where it will not let you log in, and it looks like it was designed and last updated when Bush was still in office.
  • University uses this app for library epubs

I need this app for school, and it took me two hours of valuable work time to download and troubleshoot this app to get my textbook downloaded so this app would work across several devices. I thought it was just me, but I’m pretty technologically competent, after spending a bunch of time on the support pages, I found that all the problems I was having are common issues for a lot of people. Once I finally got it working, the reader is legitimately clunky and loads pages at a snails pace, so if I want to skim ahead more than one page at a time, it gives me a processing wheel and stops me from doing so. I’m considering purchasing a $300 paper textbook just to avoid using this garbage app for the rest of the semester.
  • Absolute Garbage

I am so glad I downloaded this and tried it before purchasing a $1,000 set of eBook reference materials because the app terribly glitchy and rife with bugs. After opening the app and reviewing the “Getting Started” file that came with the app, I immediately realized that the app is utterly broken and does not display content correctly at all. On the VERY FEW pages that actually rendered enough for me to interpret any information, the content was completely destroyed if I happened to highlight any text on the screen or flip pages too quickly. Avoid this app at all costs.

Got stuck in an endless loop of not being able to sign in as I have my AdobeID through signing in with Google. Just trying to read a library book 😭

Started school and saw the option to view my book offline. I download the app and followed the instructions. It’s a PDF version and all the pages are obscured. Text fail to load properly. I’ve tried multiple books to ensure it just wasn’t the one i was looking into. Pretty Sad.
  • This app is really bad!

For being an adobe app this thing is terrible. I needed an app to read an adobe DRM book so this was the obvious choice. However I cannot believe that this app has remained non functional for over four years and hasn’t had an update in the same amount of time. The page turning function doesn’t work properly and the app crashes randomly during reading and ebook uploading. Shame on you adobe for putting out such junk!
  • Ruins my $70 eBook

I paid $70 for an eBook. I am forced to use this software to read it. If you’re gonna use DRM, the app that you need to use the book better be good. Well, this is not that app. Congratulations! There is no other choice. If the aim is to make people hate DRM and want to break it, this app excels splendidly. Fortunately both the PDF and epub versions of my book are readable, but the PDF viewer is glitchy and I have to re-zoom any time I turn the page. The typesetting for the epub is awful, with full justification with no hyphenation, so the text block is hideous with big spaces between the words. I can’t make the text as small as I’d like and the margins are wider than they need to be, even at the maximum setting for text width. Please, Adobe, fix this app. This should be the best reader possible if there are no other choices. In the meantime, I’m ordering a paper copy of the book and I will be able to use it as I please.

Adobe should be ashamed of this app. @Elcroquis why do you limit yourself to this awful app?
