Great app until you had to start paying for it.
  • Location problem

Roadtrippers is terrible at recognizing my current location. It often starts a trip from the last location.

Not easy to navigate app or understand benefits. Too complicated
  • They should be paying the users

Absolute trash for the money. Incredibly difficult to even lay out your trip. Took two or three times more effort than Google maps did. For how bad it is they should be paying us.
  • Crippled for EVs, database is poor

If you have an EV it just calls it a “gas” car and estimates the equivalent MPG! How about a good charger database in 2025-2026? Can’t add any as waypoints, gotta find them on PlugShare and kludge with a nearby point of interest. Unacceptable for the price of this non refundable program. And whatever database is being used for everything else seems really weak. For example, look for a “Grocery Outlet” and you’ll find some- but not the one in Oxnard. There’s a charger set there (which of course isn’t in their database either), but how out of date is their database set they don’t even have the grocery store there?!? If this is aimed at road trippers and RV users, cheap grocery stores seem to be critical infrastructure. There’s a lot to love about this app too, but I’m disgusted at not being able to see how it manages EV trips without paying for a year of subscription. I used up my “trial” a couple years ago (when we drove gas cars) and am shocked it acknowledges EVs but are almost useless when it comes to managing their fueling while tripping on the road.
  • Not for me

Google Maps works best for one day trip. I canceled as soon as I realized auto pilot planner didn’t work if driving for more than 10 hours in one day. I got charged even though I canceled subscription with coupon code for $35. I guess I’ll keep it after all. Thanks
  • Can no longer get into the app on my iPad !

I have a 2021 iPad which doesn’t support the latest version of Roadtrippers and there is no way to use older versions which means I can no longer do my trip plans on my iPad 😡

No details, limited options. App difficult to use. Want money back!

Avoid. Once your subscription expires you can not see any of the research or trips that you already added to the app. You cannot plan a route to any location you want such as a GPS trailhead location you need to park. All destinations are required to be in their database already. The best thing about the app is that multiple locations can be planned, but what is the point if you can’t add them all? After years of subscriptions I have given up on this app.
  • Subscription Fail

Signed up 6 months ago, paid for the subscription not everything is locked and to plan a new trip I have to upgrade. Since the app was clunky anyways I will find a new one. 😖
