Description

Pro Camera by Moment is the manual camera app that gives you pro level controls at an affordable price. It brings us closer to what we love about our DSLR and mirrorless cameras – lighting controls, smoother video, longer exposures, better focus, and richer sounds. If you are looking for a powerful and easy to use camera app, Pro Camera is for you. We make it fast and intuitive to switch between controls, dial in your shot, and keep shooting. Our video controls rival what you’d find in expensive apps, while our photo controls offer the simplicity of changing and locking in the settings you like. For filmmakers – the features you need, not the ones you don’t. Color profiles, bitrates, dual-channel audio meters, real-time waveforms, and fast access to frame rates. For photographers – easier than shooting on your DSLR. Shoot in RAW (even in bursts), split focus / exposure, and manually control everything (exposure, iso, shutter speed, white balance, and focus). For everyone else – inspired by the pros we made the interface simple, fast, and easy to use. We provide getting started tips, video tutorials, and full time customer service to get you set up. We love hearing from you. If you have any features, ideas, or feedback please email us at hello@shopmoment.com or DM us on Instagram @moment. I got this app and payed for it. Then I bought the bundle. Well I just had it taken out of my account again with a YouTube subscription tied to it! I don’t know what is going on but I would like some help

Downloaded to see if there was a free trial, went through a couple steps then saw I was charged. What the heck man? That alone makes me not want to use the app.

This app does not work for long form videos.. The frame rate and audio rate gradually become unsynced for videos over 30 min.
  • No option to save a zoom setting

It would be nice to have my zoom setting be saved, as is we only get 3 options zoom 1x,5x,.5x it doesn’t help the fact that the only way to tell how far zoomed i am is by taking the photo then looking at the info, other apps have a zoom slider of some sort to at least give you an idea how far zoomed you are. Its great that i can have presets but the preset should also save the zoom i was currently on so i can just pull out my phone and be ready to shoot instead of looking silly trying to find the right zoom.
  • Frustrating

I occasionally film concert footage and use my phone as a second camera angle to my main camera. I usually use the filmic pro app but I decided to try out the moment app at a shoot last night. I filmed a 30 minute long set and once it was over I came to find that the moment app had stopped recording on its own for no apparent reason about 10 minutes into the set. I have plenty of storage space so I have no idea why this happened but this app ruined my shoot.. probably won’t use it again or recommend it to anyone. I’d rather keep paying to use filmic even though this app is free. I’ve filmed hundreds of concerts with the filmic app and never once had an issue.

Love the app, but it needs the ability to record directly to SSD to be more complete, more “pro”.

It’s slow. Swapping between photo and video is slow and front camera to rear camera is slow. Update fixed it. Better than Halide

I really enjoy using this app to shot my footage, by why is it that it says I am not able to record anymore because of space, when there is space my phone storage
  • Using for diving/underwater, lines at depth!

I wish the product will find a way to improve the camera, as I am using my phone while diving and started to use moment since I am able to color correct. But then I am facing a whole new challenge… since underwater videos unlike land shot clips will have more haze and murky water or even clear water at distance there is a lot of lines from where the depth of color changes and this makes the video looks bad graphic and not clean at all… just pure bad graphic and I end up with content that I cannot use. If anyone from program reads this, I hope you can fix it. Thank you.
  • The one thing I needed it for, it was lame

I wanted to shoot some long exposures of stars, so I was looking to set my shutter speed in the 8-10 second range. In stock form, the shutter speed bottoms out at 1 second. You have to purchase the “slow shutter” mode for an additional 4 bucks. Okay, no big deal. I did that. But the UX was lame. For a “pro” camera experience they force you into this “motion blur” and “light trails” noob mode. I just wanted it to function how an actual camera functions–dial the shutter speed longer and longer, not a second scale. But…alas it doesn’t work. The image doesn’t continue exposing. I’m not sure what they have going on under the hood. What am I missing? Blackmagic Camera is an excellent example of how a camera app should be. Shame it doesn’t do still photography.
