I recently switched over from Spotify to Tidal and I’m liking what I’m seeing right now, but there are some things I do miss from Spotify that I would like to see implemented. One would being able to share my music to Instagram and Siri voice control
  • GIVE US CUSTOM PLAYLIST PHOTOS

I love using this app and how my music sounds, but what would really be good is if we could actually use custom playlist photos instead of the 4 collage picture for the photo.
  • You DO care about audio quality.

It’s the difference of hearing it the way the artist intended and not— period. It’s not to say it perfect. I love the engagement it feels like you get with Spotify and year end messages from your top listened artist. Then, I love the exclusive dark and black high fidelity feel of Tidal. Would be nice if they add more engaging screens when concerning album covers and artwork.

You will need to keep downloading your music a million times in order to play it in offline mode. Tidal went downhill over the past year. Run.

PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD please fix the glitch where one song gets stuck in the download queue and nothing else can download while that one song is stuck and you can’t delete it … love this app other than that but that is a big problem

  • Offline downloads broken

All of my downloaded albums were removed from my phone without any notice. Had to find out when I needed to use it that my downloads were empty. When I got back to service and tried to restore, it queued the stuff for download then immediately removed it from the queue every time.
  • Decent, but needs improvement.

The music quality is nice and I love that you pay artists better, everything is downloading, but songs consistently refuse to be added to my collection after I transferred songs from Spotify and I wish there was a personal equalizer/mixer to adjust different frequencies for user accommodations. For example I wish that I could use a bass focused mix and switch it to a jazz focused mix. I also really wish I could look back on my music history for when I listen to a lot of great stuff that I’m not able to keep track of and then be able to check it out a few days later once I get time :) Also I have so many playlists that I wish I could search for in the “add to playlist” pop up, but I can’t so I just have to begrudgingly scroll through every playlist title until I find the right one I’m looking for :(

I’ve been looking for an alternative to break away from Spotify, and so far tidal has been impressive! The sound quality is noticeably better, and nearly all my songs from Spotify were available on Tidal! Hopefully they’ll add the ability to add local files and then it would be perfect.
