I do not appreciate having to scroll through garbage AI ads when looking at news stories as a paid subscriber.
  • New version. Same problem

Ads that auto start and cannot be paused even though there is a button for that. Shame on freep. They are unable to correctly mark subscriber only articles. They mark some but most you find out when you click on them. It’s simple so are they after click bait to claim they are read or is it like their research for stories that they just don’t care They have solved the comma splice by just rewriting the rules. Out with the comma, in with the dash Just one sided psa and fear mongering. Plain bias Not doing the community any favors I like the big white screen where an article should be. This part seems to be consistent Big white screen where leaving feedback should exist but well they don’t want people’s feedback Lot of typographical errors but with feedback showing just a write page…….. Strange that what should be to national news is not mentioned. Maybe soon they will fix their feedback but i doubt it It is a challenge to read when as you are scrolling ads will load and the page will jump and now you have to scroll in the opposite direction

I enjoy reading the newspaper but I seem to be only able to read it if I am in the U.S. I have reached out twice to customer service/support about this issue and have received no response. When I travel abroad in the future I would like to put a hold on the enewspaper. Why pay for something I can’t access?

If I could go back in time and be able to get the Free Press in the morning the Detroit News in the afternoon I certainly would. Even today if I could get the morning Free Press delivered I would. This is the worst pretend news. Some of it is two days old. Sports that are over at eight p.m. on weekdays the results are not in the so called news. You better get Better or I’ll find a better way to get my information.

The Freep provides depth to issues touching our local community with solid reporting. The format for the delivered news is solid and is easier to read than online App articles. (though I miss the larger print copy). Iusw the App daily as print is not available. The App seem a to have too many ad interruptions and non-relavant as content. I may need switch to reading the appbprivided “print” version. Which has seemed difficult in the small screen.
  • Good app … except for sound in ads

App works well, but autoplay ads with sound are becoming a big problem that’s preventing me from reading in some public places. Really need a way to automute.
  • Ads are way too intrusive

It’s not even the visual aspect of this. It I wanted audio from an advertisement when I’m trying to read the news, I’d play YouTube in the background. Get rid of auto-playing advertisements in the middle of articles!!!

It needs to work on the electronic printing, Many articles have long, long sentences where the printer fails to separate the words.you can can see one sentence that should be several sentence , It is like a word search where the sentence begins and ends

Do not like how you treat word puzzles back to back on Sunday and too long articles on old news stories!
