Description

High standards? Keep them that way. The League is a selective dating app offering its members a curated “Batch” of potentials each day, rather than an unlimited stream of profiles. Designed for motivated daters who would rather be single than settle, The League strongly believes that 3 quality matches are better than 100 bad ones. So say goodbye to endless swiping and keep those standards sky-high— because while your mother might call you picky, we call you self-aware. The League uses an application process to ensure a well-balanced, highly engaged community of people with real motivation to find a meaningful long-term relationship. You can use The League for free or upgrade to a subscription to unlock additional benefits. Subscribers see more profiles each day, and thus, enjoy 40% more matches on average. Subscription Details: Payment will be charged to Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. Subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period. Account will be charged for renewal within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period. Subscriptions may be managed and auto-renewal may be turned off by going to Account Settings after purchase. The new format is terrible. Less information, hidden pictures, and harder to update your profile.
  • Took My Money, Then Restricted My Account

I was pressured into purchasing a subscription just to access basic features like viewing profiles, which already felt misleading. Within a few days of paying, my account was suddenly flagged without any explanation and I lost access to the service. There was nothing inappropriate on my profile, and I only sent a total of four messages. I even verified my identity by confirming my email and linking my LinkedIn account, yet my account remains restricted. Customer support has been completely unresponsive for nearly a week. No explanation, no resolution, and no accountability. I paid for a service I cannot use, and the company has made no effort to fix the issue. This feels like a scam. Avoid this app.

I’m very disappointed that you have to pay to see who is in your search it was made it so much harder I can’t pay the fee
  • Exclusive spelled “expensive”

I wanted to like The League, but it feels more like manufactured exclusivity than anything real. The whole premise is that it’s selective and higher quality, but in practice the dating pool is small and not noticeably better than other apps. It’s also not from lack of matches on my end. I used the app for a week, went through my daily “batch,” and almost every profile was a no. I eventually matched with a couple people, but those matches were completely unresponsive, which defeats the whole point. The pricing structure is where it really loses me. It’s already expensive, but the experience still feels locked behind even higher tiers. Like you don’t actually get full functionality unless you’re paying hundreds per month. Even basic interaction feels restricted. I’d get messages from the “concierge,” but when I asked questions, I’d either get no response or an automated reply that basically implied I needed to pay more to get real support. At that point, it just feels like you’re paying for access to features that should already be included. Honestly, Facebook Dating is probably a better place to meet someone, and it’s free. Overall, this feels like a premium price for branding, not results.

App has a “waitlist” and forces your profile to a percentage to justify keeping you there even if it is compete. Try hinge instead
  • Terrible “Advice”

The app actively encourages users to have no standards and stop being “picky” and having “expectations” just to get more matches. Why would I want to match with more people and set aside my own requirements? That messaging made me delete the app. See ya
  • Broken App and Support

Joined and filled out the profile, verified, and was waiting for the application process to end. However, I kept getting notifications that my profile was incomplete, stuck at 60% or so. I literally filled in and uploaded every thing part possible, verified again, and still no change. Reached out to support only to never get an answer. But I did get repeatedly promoted to get the premium paid sub to “skip” the wait. Very bad taste in my mouth.

This app is buggy and you have to pay to see more people….so only the rich get to see all their options? Not cool. Shady.

Glitches galore. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid. What’s your wallet otherwise you’ll be billed and receive zero value for your purchase.

I honestly believe this is just a setup designed to keep getting money from you, so please be careful and don’t fall for it. From what I experienced, they continuously ask for money for additional “upgrades” or features, and it never seems to end. It starts with one payment, then another request comes up for something else that supposedly improves your chances, and before you realize it, you’ve spent a lot more than you initially intended. What also made me skeptical is that I’m not even convinced there are real people behind some of those profiles. It sometimes feels like the conversations are either automated or managed by people who are simply being paid to keep users engaged and hopeful. They make you believe that you just haven’t found the right match yet, so you keep paying for more access or features thinking the next step will finally lead to a genuine connection. In my case, I eventually decided to cancel my subscription because the whole situation started to feel very suspicious. However, even after canceling and deleting my account, I noticed that three months later they still automatically charged my card again. That was really frustrating, especially since I had already signed out and removed my account from the platform. Situations like that make me question how transparent and trustworthy the service actually is. That’s why I would strongly advise you to be cautious before spending any money on it. It’s easy to get pulled in by the idea of meeting someone, but platforms like this can sometimes take advantage of people’s hopes and keep finding ways to charge you without delivering what they promise.
