  • Nav issues

Ve rey disappointed in the need to correct problems due to incorrect Geo coordinate data for addresses in my area. Sometimes like 18315 west Lske Houston pkwy, the nav system says I’ve arrived when I’m Sto. a few hundred feet away. On another address like 8985 will Clayton pkwy in Humble Tx, I can get to the correct area, but the nav system has the destination on the opposite side of the road. I would say 40% of the addresses I’ve frequent require me to input more precise geo coordinates. This happens whether I use the TomTom go nav app or the nav system in my car that uses TomTom nav. Overall your accuracy falls short of Apple or google maps. They can navigate you right in front of the destination or right into the parking lot, then direct to the destination. Traffic accuracy is excellent. Bf side if the inaccuracies, I’m not renewing my TomTom go and I’m canceling my subscription either Jeep Connect. You all are behind the times relative to Apple Maps, Google Maps, and Waze.
  • A solid app but very dated UI

Overall, this is still a useful app, but the user interface is very dated (it hasn’t been truly updated since the middle of 2020, and the free TomTom AmiGO app is much more modern). Additionally, the lack of voice search for points of interest is more than inconvenient (having to pull over to search means switching to another app 99% of the time), especially while driving. That said, I still appreciate the route bar, and the map, traffic data, and navigation in the US are reliable. I hope that, since Apple Maps and other companies rely on TomTom services, this app will receive a significant update soon.
  • Not the best anymore

Been using TomTom devices for decades. However, while this is a pretty decent app, its lacking compared to the competition. In fact, in many ways the android version is significantly better. A navigation app should provide alternative route options on the initial search screen and you shouldn’t need to go through multiple screens to find those alternative options, which only shows up after you’ve begun navigating. There should be a button on the navigation screen. Every other app out there, pretty much, does these things without the need for a subscription. I don’t mind paying for a subscription for a superior product, and this app does have some beneficial items, like the progress bar and lane guidance, but overall this app is not superior to free alternatives in the way that i use navigation.
  • Map Update REMAINS Inconsistent

Despite my SOLID electric & WiFi services, the map updates remain intermittent, inconsistent & unpredictable! Even COLD BOOTING my 1TB Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max doesn’t seem to expedite or even validate the current status of my maps. This status seems contradictory to BINARY coding…

  • Misleading Subscription & Poor Customer Support

I purchased a 12-month subscription to TomTom GO Navigation via their official website, expecting full access to navigation features, including truck routing. After purchasing, I used the truck navigation without issues, but later, TomTom suddenly removed access and demanded an additional €80 for truck navigation, despite their own advertising and UI indicating it was part of my subscription. Customer support has been completely unhelpful and refuses to escalate the case. They repeatedly send copy-paste responses, ignoring clear evidence that their advertising was misleading. Instead of addressing the issue, they insist I should have known Truck Navigation was separate—despite no clear disclaimer on their website. 🚨 TomTom is misleading customers by falsely advertising truck navigation features as part of their GO Navigation subscription and then retroactively restricting access. If you are a truck driver, stay away from this app unless you want to be scammed into paying twice. Their support team will ignore you and refuse to acknowledge their own misleading marketing. Now, they even replied to my review here, claiming they “want to hear more about my issue.” I followed their instructions, sent an email, and… nothing. No response. No resolution. Just silence. If TomTom really cared about their customers, they wouldn’t ignore complaints while continuing to mislead new users with unclear subscriptions.

  • They won’t fix live traffic issues NY

Don’t get this if you drive on Long Island New York. There is no live traffic information being reported to TomTom for the entire 71 mile stretch of the Long Island Expressway both east and westbound for over a year. I’ve opened many tech support tickets, supplied pictures and video of the issue. I’ve also sent pictures of google maps next to TomTom while navigating to show TomTom is not reporting traffic on the Long Island Expressway. It also directs to the HOV lane even when the avoid carpool lane is active in settings. They will not fix it, they don’t care.

This map app doesn’t know it’s a GPS app. No location called Orlando, Florida. Trying to get directions and every destination I enter it says No Results Found.
