. I submitted a mobile check deposit on April 2nd at 11 AM, expecting a quick turnaround since they promote how easy and fast it is to deposit checks by taking a picture. Instead, I was told I won’t receive my money until April 8th at 7 PM. That’s nearly a full week just to access my own funds. If you’re someone like me who needs fast access to your money, this feature is NOT reliable. Don’t depend on mobile check deposit with Chime if timing matters—it’s honestly not worth the wait. This experience has me seriously considering closing my account. Super disappointing.

This is hands down the worst company to ever exist. Nobody speaks English, you get hung up on by customer service, and repeatedly transferred. No REAL BANK does any of that. My account was compromised and they didn’t even give me my money back. Do NOT, I repeat, DO NOT use this joke clown company for anything.

  • Activate Card??? How???

I just signed up for Chime, so that I could send emergency money to a member of my family. I added money with my debit card and tried to send it, and it kept telling me to activate the card. Which card? Virtual or real? So I finally found the number for the virtual card. And I finally found the CVV on the back of the virtual card. But when I added the number into the blank, chime kept telling me it didn’t match the records. I did a screenshot of all the numbers so there’s no way I was making a mistake. Then against my wishes, I filled out everything for the real credit card which of course I don’t have, because it will be mailed. There was no way to get the CVV for the actual credit card. Therefore, after four failed attempts to send money to my family member, nothing worked. There are no real instructions on how to activate the card. So you have to bumble through every possibility. A very frustrating experience!

I placed an order with an online store that ceased operations right after my order, their site is closed and they aren’t replying. I’ve been trying to dispute this through chime for 3 months now and they keep denying it saying there’s nothing wrong I’ve been using chime for years so it’s both infuriating and saddening but I can’t continue to use this service if you allow people to steal money
  • I love the flexibility and perks of using Chime
