  • Poor support, Wasted money

Purchased the app a while back. Was a little confused on what I purchased and contacted support. They reset my account without me asking and said they thought that was what I wanted. Then I said no and asked again. Next day I got an email the ticket was closed. Then I got a ticket asking me how the support was and I clicked bad and stated we never addressed my question and closed the ticket. I had paid for a year and since just moved on to a new app so it was a waste of money due to poor support.

So I speak a fair amount of French this app is not only confusing. It’s useless. Babbel is terrible. It doesn’t teach you anything about conversation that you will ever need. I am so upset that I actually paid for a year of it. Don’t waste your money take a class online or a tutor.

I so wish this app included some sort of search feature so one could go back and review a specific topic, like articles, for example.
  • Not Enough Opportunities to Review

I’m disappointed. There was an update done that made it more difficult to find your previous lessons and to review. The app keeps pushing me to do more lessons when I score terribly in quizzes over older material. I want to access more flash cards , writing and speaking quizzes as I was able to easily do earlier in the course. I can now, only access those when the app offers them to me, for a brief , quick review. I can’t find any place to ask about this on the app. This isn’t worth the money. I need and want to do more review besides just going over the same listening to the vocab, I want the actual activities to help me review and learn. I’m beyond frustrated.

Not only is it cumbesome, it doesn't really help lean the language. It is expensive. Not particularly engaging.
  • Blocked screen and slow response

The app has two annoying features. First the header blocks the learning page so that one can’t see the entire page on the iPhone. Second, the individual letter touch screen tiles do not respond to touch . For each fill in the blank answer, I must bang on the tile several times before it shows that I’ve selected it
