I want to be in the mind of the person who thought it was a good idea to create an app that charges people with no jobs money to be able to access a database that’s suppose to help you find jobs…so you can make money. Whoever signed off on this needs to get fired asap lol Update : the developer response doesn’t make it any better.

Apps are free everywhere for job searching of all types. This is a forced pay app. Don’t bother. Use Indeed, Glassdoor, LinkedIn, etc instead. You can still find remote jobs just as easily, and without unnecessary costs. In response to FlexJobs, nice try. Indeed has filled more positions remotely and otherwise, than you people ever will. So do not try to put yourself above other companies that have been far more successful by spreading lies. I’ve met countless amounts of people who have gotten jobs through indeed. I have never heard of anyone get a job to flex jobs. So again, don’t spread lies. Just admit that you are looking to make it rich by making people spend to find jobs, because your sorry excuse of an app doesn’t get enough traffic.

You can’t even use the app without subscribing monthly or annually. I can’t stand apps that do this.

Why isn’t this free to use like Indeed or LinkedIn?

So you’re charging people to look for a job… That makes no sense. While I do understand you have to make money. A better option would be to charge somebody a one time fee. Plus there is no guarantee that you’ll get a job within that month so you’re spinning $25 a month on a maybe. That’s predatory to me. Do not give this app money.

At one point Flexjobs was a great place to find remote positions. However, there is no way to filter for salary requirements or by date of posting. Meaning you have to weed through roles that don’t fit your salary needs or postings 30+ days old that are likely filled. It no longer works with today’s competitive job market. There are now so many other competing services offering this for free- that do have these filters in place.

Diction, commas, and 100% remote got me to some cool searches. Great app!

It’s ridiculous charging people every month just to view jobs, especially when I’m currently unemployed and struggling. Can’t even just make a nice resume for free anymore either. People sure like to be greedy and make everything more difficult and expensive instead of helping. I’m sick of being charged for every stupid thing everywhere when I’m already struggling enough as it is. Sure, I could pay the $3 stupid dollars for the first month, then hope I can find a job and cancel before I get charged another $25 recurring every month after, which is ridiculous. But then I’ll run the risk of still being charged after canceling, like what happened to some other reviewers still battling to get their hard-earned dollars back. This app looks too greedy and scammy.
  • Search isn’t actually good

It’s not just the app, but their job search isn’t all that good. I think it basically ignores most filtering options, even the sorting order. It’s worse in the app than the web interface. I get results for jobs that are completely unrelated to what I’m searching for. If I sort by date, I might see one two week old listing, then a 30+ day old one or two, then another two week old listing. If I had known the search function would be worse than I am at darts, I’d probably have skipped paying for this. I’ll keep using it until my three months runs out, but I am not optimistic. (I’ve somehow had better luck on Indeed).
