I’ve paid for the subscription, it is that good. They really are priced in the stratosphere though.
  • I love Fantastical

I love Fantastical and recommend it all the time. Today, when I opened the app my calendar was missing appointments. A search for regular appointments returned no results. I had access to one of my calendars, but no others. I signed in again and my calendar is back to normal. I opened another app that had signed me out too. I wonder if the recent iOS update caused this. (17.4.1) iPhone 12 Pro Max
  • Practically perfect but MUCH too expensive

No complaints after many years using (odd glitch now and then, plus there should be a setting to allow users to lightly “gray out” past days, esp in month view) but this app is so darn expensive. I dropped it for a couple months to try to save money but will pick it up again …… Developers, please give us a break! Esp us retired folks!
  • Good, but annoying.

If you put time of event in the title OR a mention of recurrence, it automatically sets that up for you. BUT it deletes it from the title! Very frustrating and time consuming. ALSO, if you do not specify time of event in the title, it makes it an all-day event. Best part: it sometimes decides to put your event on a different date. Trying to add (twice) on Feb 20, 2024: 3pm second nap. It adds it to 3pm on March 2nd. Why??? Even more annoying, I had a personal LOUD sound assigned to event alerts and suddenly, a couple of days ago, the app reverted to some LOW, apparently default alert sound (the only free one and all the others are $$$, with no place to choose my personal alert sound from my sounds library). I’ve never hear this default alert sound before and I still have my own alert sound set in iOS calendar alert settings. Tech support denies that this can happen and has no explanation for why I now get 5 default alert sounds for an event. They remain silent after denying it is happening.
  • Why the hype?

They must give big kickbacks for recommendations. This app is garbage. The natural language input never works. It just randomly assigns the time to the name or the duration to the time. It takes longer to correct than just entering it the old fashioned way. The location rarely works because their maps only show about one out ten places. There is no reasonable month view on any device. If you subscribe, make sure you do it through Apple. If you subscribe from the flexibits like I did, it is an hidden cancellation process that is not easy to find.
  • Calendar blocking with tasks

Can you make it so I can adjust the duration of a task when assigned a due date/time? I want to be able to place a task on my calendar. Adjust its duration from 10 minutes, 30 minutes, to a few hours. This way, I can time block my day using tasks rather than creating a calendar event for a task. • 2/1/20 Latest update crashes iPad Pro

4/12/24 I returned to check on a once great app. BUT REALLY, $60 for a calendar app? Even more of a money grab. WALK AWAY, DO NOT DOWNLOAD. There are plenty of apps 99% as good that are inexpensive. 2/1/20 WAS once the best. NOT NOW 😖👎 iPhone: The new interface is AWFUL iPad: crashes on each restart. Now I’ve lost all my settings. Family Sharing: GONE. Now it’s a blatant MONEY GRAB. $$$ Recent Update: TRASH - actually a step backwards Recommendation: CANNOT RECOMMEND - DO NOT BUY - DO NOT USE DELETED AND MOVED TO “Calendars 5”

This is the only app I’ve found that lets me give a scheduling link that looks at all of my calendars. Others, like Calendly, only look at one calendar account. Fantastical looks at my personal iCloud account and my work account to show someone if I’m available. Next, it’s the best calendar app for adding new events and being able to see my reminders in one place. Completely worth the price.
  • Greedy app company, no matter how many times they update.

Better elsewhere Widget don’t always work, time and events don’t allows show…kinda important for a calendar app. Unprofessional emails if/when they write you back.

I love this app, no doubt. I’ve used it from the start, and do try other solutions. For Mac, and iOS padOS - it’s good looking and quite smart Also love that update notes are clean and informative
