This app misssed on all three verified stones I entered. I put in Lapis, it wasn’t even in the choices. I put in red jasper it wasn’t even in the choices at all I even tried the obvious tigers eye and it couldn’t identify that !!

This app is terrible at identifying anything, what comes up immediately is some high end gem grade specimens that have absolutely no similarities at all to the specimen you’re trying to identify.

Nine out of 10 wouldn’t be bad if it got nine right. In this case it got one out of ten right. And that was kind of a fluke because it had that option for every one of them all 10.

I took out some of my jewelry Diamond and it called a beryl. It said my blue sapphire bracelet was a Jasper. It didn’t even know what turquoise was so I don’t know. Maybe I’m using it wrong. Is there a help department?

Just to see how well it worked I pulled out a cabochon of real turquoise. First, it identified it as Amber, so I put it in a different light then it identified it as Aragonite. I have been a rock hound since I was a child more than 60 years , OK and I’m fairly good at identifying stones this could help me with ones that I’m not sure of.

Hi, I would rate it 5 stars if there we’re not too many subscriptions and it would help me find some other minerals but besides that it’s pretty good
