Bob’s Trivia was created for my father, who once loved solving crossword puzzles. As his eyesight declined, enjoying those puzzles became a challenge. I created this voice-activated app to rekindle that joy, allowing him to once again engage his love for trivia through the power of his voice. Bob's Trivia is a hands-free, voice-controlled trivia game for iOS. Players can start, stop, pause, and navigate the game entirely through spoken commands. The app fetches a potentially endless stream of questions from a Gemini-powered backend, with options to change the genre and difficulty on the fly. It features smart answer checking, prevents question repetition, and provides rich visual feedback with a party-themed background, a progressive "graffiti burst" animation for correct answer streaks, and a segmented LED-style microphone meter.
