Pocket - AI Personal Assistant

I just got this yesterday and have recorded three calls today and am so impressed with this device. I struggle with ADHD and often miss tasks or small comments in meetings because I’m taking notes. This has fixed those issues. I’d love to see a full iPad version so I have more room to view the notes, summary, and mind map. Regardless, I can’t wait to keep using this device.

Extremely bad experience with the product and the service. DO NOT buy this. It’s not worth it and doesn't work like they claim.

When you first receive the product, you will notice they try to copy Apple from the unboxing experience. However, sadly, they cannot copy the great product and great customer experience.

I only used it for four conversations, and here are my main issues - the software is extremely buggy, and I always have issue to sync the device. And if you have back-to-back meetings, you are out of luck. Won't be able to start recording your second meeting until the first one is synced, which can take forever.

The AI is OK. But the chatting function is not good, unlike Otter. The only good function is when you download, they zip everything, but that's it.

I returned the device, with everything included.

After that? No response. Total radio silence. I checked my PayPal to see if I have received refund. Nothing.

When I finally reached out, they finally deign to response, claimed the device was returned partial and dirty - which is completely untrue.

And I see other people have the exact same experience. So please donot be fooled by their ads on Youtube. Don't buy this trashy product.

I love this gadget and it has made my meeting note taking so SO much easier. I highly recommend.

Working with pocket is making keeping my meeting notes crystal clear. Makes me feel like I am not missing anything in the meeting.

Whether a doctors appointment or important meeting regardless of the length this app presents an organized thoughtful Summary, and follow up points in record time.

I’m still getting used to it but it appears to work pretty well. I’d definitely suggest using it with the web app. I think it allows you to use the AI functions a bit more seamlessly. I really enjoy asking the device questions about conversations to highlight specific information.

As of today it is stuck in ‘Writing Summary” mode. Rebooted the phone, reinstalled the app, have the latest iOS update. And still nothing.

It took some getting used to but loving having the physical Pocket recorder vs opening an app (Granola, AI, etc) to record in person mtgs, phone calls or even Zooms. A simplicity to start a recording is so much less invasive than grabbing phone, unlocked, opening app, tapping record. It sounds silly to say but it’s much quick and less conspicuous to just tap on the Pocket button once. Good template for AI conversion and ability to create custom templates. Hardware easier to use IMO than Plaud (I could never tell from the LEDs what was happening on the device). Not as think as Plaud but the device itself is magnetic which is great (vs with Plaud having to put in a case to have magnet) Also battery life is incredibly good, easily 5-7 days of usage without charging. Companion desktop app is coming along too (for desktop based mtgs) Their team is working hard providing software updates often too.

I believe in giving credit where credit is due so I’m re-writing my review. They are indeed listening and fixing things. I was disappointed for a bit but they’ve really managed to bring me back to being a huge fan of the device and the app.

I bought a pocket and it works well and the summarization is pretty good, however there are no docs available on the website… no help whatsoever…. How do i share files with my mac? Is there an api? Do i have to use a saas service? The device has failed to record twice causing me to miss half a meetings worth of notes…. If there were a docs page with helpful trouble shooting steps i could probably figure this out…. I’ll probably return it before my 30 days is up
