    I really like this app! The only thing that I would like to see changed is an easier way to see how much is spent in each category. For example, I don’t have a “budget” for home and garden, but I spent in that category this past month. If I could see month to month how much I spent in each category, even if not in the budget, I can change my budget for the future if I see I’m consistently spending in that category. I know you can see it by scrolling through the transactions, but I think a better visual of all the category totals together would be helpful. Hope that makes sense!

    I like the show and was a hammer pro member for a while, finally decided to get the app and the free trial. It is awful. Won’t let you delete accounts you link, it’s clunky, there are typos, and it is extremely NOT user friendly. I’m disappointed because I was willing to pay 15/month for what I thought would be a good app. I wouldn’t pay a dollar for this truly. There are a lot of better apps out there.

    I really wanted this app to be good, but it is unusable in its current state. Skip down to the list to see the specific issues if you don’t want to read the entire review. I’ve been following Caleb Hammer for over a year now and I like his educational content and his financial audits. So when the app came out I downloaded it and got the premium to both support him and get the cook book. It seems like this was rushed to production because it’s a buggy mess currently. Here are the issues: • There is a bug where the accounts are doubled. You cannot remove accounts once added so I could not delete the duplicates. When I contacted support (which was difficult to find) they told me to uninstall the app and reinstall it. This locked me out of my account for a week. • There is a bug where you will randomly get locked out of your account. It will take you back to the log in screen but will not let you log back in. I’ve been locked out several times and have had to wait a few days to over a week to get back in. • Cannot recategorize things. This is also a bug, it will let you recategorize purchases but most of the time it doesn’t save. This messes up all the budgets and you have to redo work. Usually when it stops recategorizing it is about to lock you out of the app as well. • It doesn’t always calculate things correctly. Last month it told me I spent out of my grocery budget but when I manually calculated it I was under my budget. Could not figure out why this was happening. It also incorrectly calculated my total monthly spending and added at least over $1000 but I think it added closer to $3000. Looking at another budgeting app, it was much lower on there. The only thing I can think of is that it’s adding the pending transaction and then adds the actual transaction without removing the old pending sometimes? • I haven’t received the cook book. I submitted my proof of purchase a few months ago and still haven’t gotten the cook book or word of when it will show up. For the time being I’ve changed back to my old budgeting app and will continue to wait until this works. I think I’m going to cancel my yearly subscription and only get it again if these issues have been fixed. Due to all the bugs it’s easier to just use a spreadsheet (or get another app unfortunately) than use the app because a lot of the calculates are wrong. I’m rooting for Caleb and his team because he has helped me keep more on top of my finances so I’m pretty bummed to be writing this review.

    This awful app. I stopped watching Caleb after downloading this app. This is a literal money grab - I complained about the broken features MONTHS ago. Still no update, just a terrible rebrand.

  • Can’t use app

    I really wanted to love the app. But I can’t even get my bank accounts to add. I can add on any other app that uses plaid. But this one doesn’t work or is having troubles with plaid. And I see no other way to add the account. Very frustrating. Would love to change my review when I can use the app. UPDATE: the App Store wouldn’t give me my money back a day after they took it when I told them the app doesn’t work. So… don’t try this. No one is helping make it better unfortunately.

    I’m writing this review after spending only a few minutes on the app. My immediate problem is every time i try to link an account from another financial institution, the app repeatedly brings me to the login page for the bank I’ve already linked. I understand that this is still a rather new app and that Caleb and his team are continually updating the app. I will change the rating if that gets addressed

  • Pricey & Full of Bugs - Not Worth It

    I wanted to like the app, however between the price and bugs - it isn’t worth it. I have noticed issues with duplicate entries for custom categories and transactions, along with having a difficult categorization process. It is clunky and would also delete my entire budget at the start of each month, causing me to reenter everything. Prices start at $14.99 a month, which is too high. The market is oversaturated with budget apps - don’t bother with this one.

  • Annoying Tech Difficulties

    I initially liked the app, but after the first few days it kept unlinking from my already connected bank accounts. I continuously had to re-link them, and then eventually it stopped allowing that too. This was true for my accounts through multiple institutions, so the app was clearly the common denominator. I wish this wasn’t the case - because I otherwise liked the app’s setup - but this glitch became so frustrating that I decided to find another app. Super annoying after I spent quite a bit of time getting it set up.

  • I won’t let me set up my bank account

    The plaid app they use to connect the bank accounts to their dashboard keeps showing internal error when I try to connect my bank. I have already paid for the annual subscription and like the user friendly interface but need help with connecting the accounts or the app is obsolete.
