Don’t waste your time in a small city

Its a great concept that is poorly executed, at least in my small-ish city. I gave it four dinners because I really wanted it to work, but no more. My first dinner was great. My second dinner was atrocious due to the table having eight people, of which one was a major %?#! who I ended up reporting. My third attempt I was assigned a restaurant that had closed down. Despite several outreach attempts the day of, I did not get reassigned and did not hear back from TimeLeft until over a week later. My third rescheduled dinner was decent. My fourth dinner they assigned me to a table that had a thirty year age gap between participants, and the same %?#! whom I had previously reported was once again at my table. This person ruined the evening and I left early. It might be great in other cities, but this customer is lost.
Very cool!!

A great way to get out of your comfort zone and meet new people, in a safe way.
Sent us to the wrong location

The app sent us to The Pearl in the Short North, but made the reservation at The Pearl in Dublin, so when we got to the location that it sent us to, they did not have a reservation for us. Luckily the restaurant was able to accommodate us, but when “the last drink” happened, it was on the other side of town. Last week for “the last drink” it tried to send us to a bar that is closed on Wednesdays. It’s a fun thing to do but there are some kinks to work out.
Violation of Religious Rights and Discriminatory Practices

Violation of Religious Rights and Discriminatory Practices
I am extremely disappointed with Timeleft’s disregard for religious rights and personal beliefs. The app promotes events like Saint Valentine’s Day, imposing a specific cultural ideology without consideration for users with differing values. When I requested to cancel my booking on February 7, well within reason, they refused a refund, citing their “terms and conditions” instead of respecting my religious rights.
As an act of protest, I must ask: Why does Timeleft force the observance of religious holidays like Saint Valentine’s Day while ignoring inclusivity for other faiths? If they truly cared about diversity and inclusion, why not host an Iftar during Ramadan or celebrate Hanukkah for Jewish users? Selectively promoting one cultural or religious tradition while disregarding others is discriminatory and unacceptable.
Under Title II of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, businesses cannot discriminate based on religion. Furthermore, 42 U.S. Code § 2000bb-1 (Religious Freedom Restoration Act) protects individuals from burdens on their religious exercise. Timeleft’s actions violate these principles and demonstrate clear bias.
I will be reporting this matter to the Saudi government, the IFTA council, and ensuring the media highlights this issue.
I strongly advise individuals of any faith who value their religious rights to avoid this app.
Good idea but too much spying

Why does the app need to read my full calendar with all locations or emails, also of other people that eg may have sent me an invite?
This is gross! You can add a dinner with the right to add to a calendar, why not use just that? Pretty bad!!!
App is Great, Clientele is NOT

By Cool UI, Terrible Clientele
Did my first dinner this week and I was so excited to meet new people. I, a 24 year old woman, got paired with four other men. First off, that is not a good way to make any woman feel safe at all. Second, two of these men have now been harrassing me since dinner even though the only way they knew how to communicate with me was through ways they paid me for dinner so we didn’t have to split evenly since no one’s totals were close at all. Third, the clientele (at least in LA) is friendless for a reason, and good reasons at that. This was my first and last dinner on this app and it was all of these boys fifth (minimum). There are no safety precautions whatsoever.
Other than the users sucking, the UI is great and I do appreciate the idea but this app has a FAR way to go before I would feel safe using it again. Try 222 instead (cheaper, more interesting activites, less creepy
Update: contacted support. They did absolutely nothing other than “not pair me with him again” even thought I will never use this app again. If you cared about your clientele you would ban people who are threats (which have been proven and sent to your customer service). Changed from 2 stars to 1 since your UI isn’t good enough to make up for this horrendous “support”
Terrible app

App was not working correctly and would not show scheduled date/time. Customer service was less than helpful. I canceled and never got to use the month I signed up for because of this, but also couldn’t get a refund.
It’s like meeting people in an airplane

The people are nice and the food was decent, but the matching seems to be more based on who’s available rather than who’s compatible. There were some real issues with the proposed after party where you’re supposed to leave the place you’re at and then drive 20 minutes to another place and then have drinks there. So everyone passed on it, but I think with a little tweaking of the matching algorithm it’d be pretty cool. As it is, it’s decent.
Try something new.

I downloaded the app months ago but never signed up for a dinner until tonight. I'd opened the app and started the registration process numerous times, but never finalized it. The closest dinner was two hours away, a significant hurdle. I hope future dinners will be closer to home, but for now, the two-hour drive is what it takes.
Last week, I finally overcame my hesitation and completed the registration. Despite finalizing it, I remained anxious, unsure of what to expect. On the day of the dinner, a winter storm added another challenge to the two-hour drive. I decided to book a hotel room and proceed with the reservation.
The Italian restaurant, located in the heart of downtown, offered a diverse and reasonably priced menu. Arriving early, I received a warm welcome from the staff, who were aware of my Time Left reservation and made me feel comfortable while I waited for the others.
As more people arrived, we introduced ourselves and made small talk. Soon, the conversation flowed easily and comfortably. After dinner, some of us decided to attend the suggested after-dinner mixer. Although the original location was closed, we connected with other Time Left members and arranged an alternative gathering spot. Our group of six quickly grew to over twenty. The mixer was relaxed and friendly.
I left that evening knowing I'll definitely attend another dinner. I connected with many people I genuinely believe will become good friends. All it took was saying yes to something new.
