Content was unfortunately kind of lacking and finished it already. Needs an update

As with most of Rovio's games, they are fun to play for a while and then they just become tedious and cumbersome. It's a great game don't get me wrong. It's just the same old thing over and over and over and over again. And then it's just not fun anymore. I recently uninstalled it, it's not fun. So I moved on.

I played a few isles and gradually lost excitement for the game knowing that the slightly different birds and pigs to be encountered would shake up the game very little. Yes it incoporated roguelike elements to try and spice up every isle, but the reality is that bird choice doesn't matter all that much. Yes there are some birds that are stronger than others. But does that mean you play the game differently if you have 5 bomb birds or only 1? No. You still just shoot whatever shot bounces on the pigs the most. If you like brick breakers this isnt a terrible example of that formula. But an angry birds skin is not attractive enough for me to care about this game above other games, particularly on apple arcade.

A new different take on the angry birds game with a ricochet mechanic that is easy to learn but hard to master
  • Not enough islands!

Gave us super fun and addictive, yet challenging. That being said, there’s just not enough islands! Finished 100 and I’m told that’s it! Are there more coming in the future?

Trying to complete tutorial, but there’s a glitch. It wants me to select the bomb bird, but highlights the egg bird. Seems to be behind one bird if that makes sense. Hope it gets fixed, can’t get passed the first couple levels! Seems like a fun game so far.
  • Great new game but…

The game great and gives good challenges but I’ve maxed out the levels at 100 and it says keep playing this last level. Hopefully they add more levels on the update and give ability to replay previous levels.
  • Lots of Fun But …

I’m really enjoying this game and I play it at least once a day even though it’s gotten a little repetitive. It’s mindless fun (just leave the geometry part of your brain on) that allows me to take a break from whatever the day has brought me. It could use a few improvements: * Game learning. There was no explanation for parts of the game and you just had to figure it out on your own. It took me forever to realize what dice were used for. * Too many game factors for meaningful strategy building. There are so many birds and charms and combinations of both that I find myself just randomly picking them. Trying to do the math of percentages and angles is too complicated. * BIGGEST GRIPE - some birds have terrible Ultimates. Using them brings the pigs closer to you so they can kill you faster. Why?!?! Defeats the purpose of having an Ultimate.

This is a really fantastic game. Holy cow. Lots of fun and very satisfying gameplay. I reached level 100 and almost bought every upgrade. Now all that’s left for me to do is review the game. Haha I definitely figured out how to break it and the overpowered strategies vastly outweigh the underpowered ones. Some aspects of the game are so useless it was a waste of programming code putting them in. Let me give some very useful advice and feedback for the devs. I’ve reached lvl 100. Have almost every upgrade purchased. Almost every champion purchased and all the upgrade slots for the champions unlocked. I can create almost any combination of upgrades imaginable and I’ve tried a lot of different strategies. So take my advice for what it’s worth. There’s a misbalanced focus on health in the game that is leaving out an entire aspect that needs addressing. Health upgrades, health charms, and the health level all need to be looked at. Playing the ENTIRE game to 100 I never relied on healing and rarely visited the health level. This is because the sacrifice didn’t justify the benefits of a health strategy. Specifically, you have to be able to clear pigs or they stack up at the bottom and you’re dead fast anyway. Level charms will always center around damage and not survivability. The health level is always skipped. 30 health does not provide a greater benefit than a new charm selection. Make the health level have 50 health blocks you have 3 chances to break them. Each block gives you 5 health. Break away and try and bring your health to full again. The “4 box Monte” game is kinda silly and out of place. (Also, you can’t pause the game on a health level. You miss the mixing animation and then come back and have to guess. Frustrating.) Birds that need tweaking. Jo’s ultimate is utterly useless. Choosing her as a champ will render you a lost game. Matilda isn’t capable of doing enough damage throughout the game to be viable. Ult is good. Bubbles pushing pigs down into the first row makes me avoid that bird at all costs. Silvers ultimate needs to do more damage period. Sending her through a targeted pig and having that pig still standing is infuriating. For anyone who got this far. Stella is OP. HER BUBBLES ARE MINI NUKES. If you want to win the game she’s your bird. The blues are 100% essential to getting your ultimate fast. They’re a little too dependent. Ruby’s ultimate is the best in the game. Maybe this is by design. For a more rounded game, all birds, charms, ultimates, and strategies should be viable. In a rouge like game, really everything should work if you get the charms you’re after. Pigs catch fire, Jo and Bomb do it. Charm, Do more damage to birds on fire. Same for electrified. Charms for doing more damage to electrified pigs. Angry hits to burned/electrified pigs do more damage. This is standard stuff for RPGs and rouge like. SHOW ME STATS I only know what’s best from Playing dozens of hours. I need to know what does what. You show 150% more damage to pigs from the front on some charms but then “Angry hits do more damage.” How much more? Give me a stat sheet of what to expect. What’s my luck number? How fast is my ultimate charge going? Etc this would be nice to know. Some extra elements that could be added to the game: More elemental stuff. Charms to do damage and angry damage to elemental. Stat Page so we know what’s working. Hit harder sooner. “Do more damage for the first 10 hits.” Then it tapers off. This could be a fun stackable. More ultimate charging charms. Only two good ones aren’t enough. Health system needs a major rework. Some charms and upgrades are utterly useless because healing in general isn’t a part of the game to focus on. Getting hurt should be my fault. Not some random act of a RNG. The way I would rework it would be to allow pigs to reach the bottom faster, do less damage but damage more, but then they appear up at the top again with the same amount of health they had when they reached the bottom. This will also prevent the player from winning by default letting the last pig simply reach the bottom. Recycle the pigs out so the player has to DEFEAT them to win. When the pig comes back they can be “enraged”. This opens up a whole new damage system. More damage to enraged pigs. Angry guts do more damage to enraged pigs. Etc. Maybe a pig does 1 or 2 damage on the first time they reached the bottom then big damage if they reach it again. This will also make a lot of charms more useful, the charms that do damage in the lower part of the screen. And it’ll make birds like Chuck and Gordon much more viable. I hope this helps. I’ve played this game a lot. By profession I’m a software architect. I know how to fit things together nicely for end users.

If you could just make it so when you get to level 100 you could play a random island that would be great. Being just stuck there is getting old. Maybe something to do with gold and feathers after everything is maxed would be cool too. That seems like a bigger ask than the random islands would love to see that soon.
