  • It’s Boggle, on the go

    You pretty much know whether you’re going to like this or not based on whether you like Boggle already. It does introduce some extra rules that could only work in a video game to spice things up, like special tiles that are worth more or power-ups that change the board. You do get the impression that this originally started as a free to play game that was hastily converted to a paid experience, so some progression mechanics just don’t seem to do anything or make any sense, but it doesn’t get in the way of the core gameplay of finding words in a grid.

  • Can’t turn off notifications

    Sends notifications without requesting permission. And doesn’t show up in the settings app so I can’t turn them off. Super loud noise associated

  • Would love a Zen mode

    Love this game. Would love a zen/chill mode where there’s no time limit so you can try to find as many words as possible. In Adventure mode, I wish the goal wouldn’t change if you fail. It’s not much of a challenge if it makes itself easier for you.

    I like the game. But the multi player part is totally broken. I have so many games without another player. I have thousands of coins but nothing to spend them on in the game. I do daily challenges and it recalibrates. There’s not much to this game. Zynga can do it better.

    Game play is good when it works but this app always seems to have networking issues. It takes forever to load and often craps out when trying to start a new game or find an opponent. I enjoy the game when it works but these problems might force me to delete it rather than deal with the frustration.

    It is INFURIATING to me that if I don’t meet a goal in one of the rounds that it immediately “recalibrates” the goal to make it easier. I started a level that wanted 51 words but the board it gave me had an entire row of completely unusable letters, so I ended the level to just restart it. It said it was going to give me 32 words as my goal instead. The game has done this to me many times at this point- if I fail at a level or boss match even a little bit, it lowers the difficulty by a crazy amount. I AM NOT A BABY! Failing is fine, I just want to try again at its original difficulty!! Maybe have an option where I can turn off automatic easier mode or something because I literally feel patronized by a word game and that’s nuts

    I’ve been playing for about a week. I like the concept the only thing frustrating is when you are playing multiplayer, sometimes the game times out and does send to the other player. For example I currently have 3 games that say my turn but I’ve already done my turn multiple times, if I hit resume and the clock shows 0:00 and ends the match, but still does not send it to the other player just does this cycle repeatedly. There is no way to end the game my only options are resume or home. Makes the gaming experience not smooth.

    The game is lots of fun, but there is a persistent problem with the Daily Challenge not keeping a track record of progress. Seems its a known problem for years. Bad form!
