  • Hundreds of Tutorials and Years of Trying

I have over 600 incomplete Logic Pro projects I’ve made since 2018. Few are actually complete because of how confusing Logic Pro is, and how frustrating it is to use when arranging things. I could list many reasons it is cumbersome when you just wanna lay a beat down, or mix a track when you want to make electronic music.

When I have two or more takes in a track, if I right-click on the track, the app crashes. Please fix asap. Please.

It’d be great if the $200 DAW I purchased actually worked! I’ve lost years of music Ive made and I can’t even open the app anymore! I’ve tried everything, but all this is now is an endless loading screen! Makes me so sad!

I love making music with logic! If you’re currently using GarageBand, feeling limited, want to take production more seriously, and love it enough to justify the price, I can’t recommend Logic enough!
  • A DAW you can commit to

With so many options, it took me awhile to settle down and decide which DAW I was going to stick with. I took a class in Logic Pro as part of my Commercial Music degree, and it was the one that stuck. It does everything. You can get really far on built in features without downloading a lot of extra plugins. They keep adding more amazing capabilities. Most of all, this is the direction most people are going, so it’s much easier to share projects with others if you are using Logic Pro. I also occasionally use Ableton for some things, but I always end up finishing my projects in Logic.

    Doesnt open
  • Buggy - developers tinker with design and remove features, make things function worse over time.

I get the impression the people working on Logic don’t actually ever use it to make music. In the last few years, new releases tend to be buggy, with clumsy design elements. It’d be nice if they could just get back to the basics and focus on making the thing stable. Instead of removing old features to add new ones, please just make the old features work the way they’re supposed to (and the way they used to.) and for goodness sake, add the color/shading (between CDE and FGAB) back to the piano roll so we can actually read it!!!

I never thought I’d need to shop for another DAW once I dropped the money to buy Logic Pro X and I’m REALLY hoping that with patience, it will get fixed because this is TERRIBLE! The older versions were so much fun and had so many sounds and instruments to choose from, now there are 4 guitars. FOUR! And limited choices in other categories as well. If you are thinking of buying, HOLD OFF! Wait to see if they fix this because this is going the A.I. way and removing the humans as the creators. In a nutshell, it STINKS!
