  • Paywalls itself to obsolescence

Download the AP, BBC, or some biased news app instead. You can’t even read anything now, and the developers think you should keep this app around so you can read the headlines. Save yourself the hassle and download an app where you can read both headlines and articles in one go. “But you get x free articles, and you must have reached the lim—“ Cheers, other solid news source apps have no limits. Good luck out there, Reuters.

What used to be the most accessible, fairly-unbiased news source is now more invested in income. Global news should be free for everyone to access, period. Remove your paywall.
  • Videos don’t work

None of the videos play in the app, but I can play videos on the website using Safari. Which makes this app useless.
  • Obsolete

Charging users to read stories destroyed Reuters reputation with me. You guys were the only ones to counterbalance AP but AP doesn’t charge a fee. You just became obsolete to me. Look how low you are in ranked in news apps. This is why! I can understand charging for a newspaper, but not for Reuters. Reuters should have left that alone. Now nobody is gonna read you guys and the world story dies with your failed news app. Nobody is gonna pay a subscription for World News. It kills your trustworthiness because news reports for money is a scam. You get money from advertising. You don’t need my $4. Uninstalled. So much for informing the world.

Tired of media skewed like this. Apple TV app has not been replaced. 🤦🏼
  • Paywall = bye bye

Reuters has arrogantly implemented a paywall that instantly lost my interest in their news. That they appear to believe there are no other sources for legitimately unbiased news is delusional. I’m happy to take my eyes & ad revenue to AP. Reuters just relegated themselves to the has-been pile of no-longer-relevant news outlets. Uninstalling now.

So lame, the new update makes you purchase a subscription to view the news.
