  • App needs improvement

Love the magazine but the app needs serious improvement. I find it’s far behind competitors like the Economist or the Atlantic (which is strange because FA’s mobile website is nice). Some key app features I’d like to see: - better UX on homepage that reflects magazine aesthetics, like the mobile FA website. Nicer article separators rather than just block tables. - not sure why there’s an events tab when they haven’t hosted events since 2024 - better audio (I know this is slightly outside the realm of app developers, but the Economist really nailed this feature and I’d love to see this on FA)

The online access is great. You can play articles from the journal or anything from the website. Top quality material and podcast from our own Dan Kurtz Phelan. Cheers

I wish the About the Author was placed before the essay like it was in the magazine.

Since its inception a century ago, Foreign Affairs has provided unrivaled coverage of international politics, often written by policymakers themselves. I know this sounds like it’s coming from a PR department—but I’m just an ordinary American interested in the subject. I find the articles engaging and the subscription price affordable.

In an age when business interests dominate news reporting, access to independent analysis of international issues is crucial. The articles are well-written, and framed for a general audience. The backstory explanations provide valuable insight into the historic and geopolitical context of current events. And the app works reliably well.

Absolutely phenomenal content, and it appears they have fixed some bugs I had experienced in the app. Before, if I switched apps in the middle of reading an article, when I got back to the app my progress in the article was lost and was back at the top of the article. Now it looks like the problem has been resolved, so thanks to whoever did that

My time and attention digesting news is much better spent here than any other site like bbc, npr, Reuters, or pbs. Thank you
