  • End to a Great Product

Well, now pay a higher fee to get 3 books “unlocked” a month or else pay over $100 a year to unlock one book a month; also get bounced back and forth to the Scribd App to read books in your collection, but wait go back to Everand where you have to unlock it but or you have to listen on audio. So messed up. It was only a matter of time before marketing and money hungry people ruined it. This will probably be my last subscription and may stop recommending. Booo
  • Great but buggy

I’ve been a long time Scribd/Everand subscriber. It’s a great app with a huge library of content. Overall an amazing value. One issue lately has been that the ‘search’ function is not working. I thought that it must mean that the titles I was searching for were not available but using the AI assistant, I was able to find what I was looking for. I tried to send a message to Everand via the chatbot, but that created an error. Hopefully, search will be fixed soon as it really limits the functionality of the app.
  • Disappointed in the new structure

I’ve had this app for years.. used to have access to the entire inventory, then it added newer titles but you could only choose one a month but still have the regular master inventory. Now I upgraded to the newest/highest plan and I only get 3 books a month, there are hardly any “unlimited” titles. Even books that were previously unlimited now need to be unlocked and I’m paying more than ever before. There are new titles more than before but with the limit I don’t know if it’s worth it anymore. I was say the app crashing hasn’t happened in a while which is great since it used to crash almost daily if I was listening to it a lot.
  • Terrible change

Very disappointed in the change of unlocking titles and can no longer justify the subscription cost. You had such a good thing, it was like the Netflix of audiobooks but now, everything worth reading has to be unlocked. Please go back or at least increase the amount of unlocks.
  • So expensive!

WHY?! No unlocked titles. Might as well stick with Audible. Now I gotta look for a new app
  • Horrible! Run away

Horrible customer service and ridiculous value. Converted from Scribd and cannot believe the insulting availability of products. Run run run away
  • Revenue first, not value.

With the new model of pay per title or per credits, there is no longer an advantage to using this app. I’ll go get a better selection with amazon. You ruined the one reason I stayed with you guys.

I loved this app so much before the update. It used to be unlimited listening for about $12/month. This and the sheet music were what kept me subscribed for years. The unlimited book selection really pushed it above Audible in my opinion. Now, you have to “unlock” books, which is the same as using a credit like you do with Audible, and there is no more sheet music. I am seriously thinking of canceling my membership. I do not need more than one credit based audiobook subscription and I’d much rather keep Audible.

I’ve had a Scribd account for 10+ years. It was a great service. Now I have to unlock titles-even on books that I’ve saved unless I pay $119 per month to unlock 1 title? That is ridiculous. I can buy at least 5 books for that amount. This was a great service. Once my annual subscription expires I will not renew it. Very disappointing.
  • Don’t buy it

I used to love this app and the way it was set up. But I cannot in good conscience tell anyone to buy the subscription as it is now. You see popular books advertised but they’re only for premium subscriptions which cost more than the regular subscription and only offer 3 unlocks. It just isn’t worth it. The books you can read are good but you’ll likely not get what you want.
