If you sign up with an Apple ID, they have made it where it is impossible to cancel and no way to contact the company. Shady company with coercive and fraudulent practices.

This used to be a fantastic app until their last big update that provided a ‘premium’ library. So every month you pay 11.99 to have access to ONE premium title and then unlimited to others, but what they don’t tell you is majority of the titles are within the premium bracket. On top of investing in this once you cancel your membership all titles are locked, even the ones you actively paid to unlock. Just get a library card use their platform for books and audiobooks and get something additional like you music app that provides it or an alternate service so you have full access after paying for the title.
  • Greed strikes again!

I am truly disappointed by the approach to charge us more and more money as time goes by. Still, I was maintaining my subscription after the change, while I explored other options on how to get the most value, either with this app or a combination of this and other sources. Then, suddenly, a book I was reading through chapter 15, becomes part of the unavailable books and only available through a premium subscription. Wow!! Enough is enough. I am canceling my subscription. Thank you, greedy Everand for making my decision easier.
  • Save Your Money

I decided to try this app out as I thought it’s a better deal than what I pay for audible. I absolutely hated this app. Pro: You get three titles for about the cost of one on Audible. Cons: Constantly lags and stops playing. Every time I pause the book, to play again I have to exit out the book and go back into it. Super inconvenient for a mom who’s constantly getting interrupted. The audio goes in and out on the book. Can only go up to x3.0 speed, Audible lets me go higher. Not as many titles as Audible. I rather pay more for Audible because it’s impeccable, this app had lots of growing.
  • Can’t get it to work

I used to love this app but I can’t get it to work anymore. I have tried using the app and the website. The only thing that will load is my saved books. I can’t even cancel my subscription because it won’t load. I am not having this issue with any other apps or websites.
  • Very Buggy with Downloading

Really annoyed with their changes, especially with being able to view downloads or look at items under my account. Very buggy and I am constantly having to relaunch the app just to get back from looking at my downloads. They really need to fix this, it’s been this way since they launched Everand
  • Not good

The developers are making this app worse and worse while raising the price higher and higher. I used this app back when it was still called Scribd. After the split into Scribd and Everand, I was disappointed because the interface became worse. After the introduction of a subscription limited to 3 books per month, I simply decided to cancel my subscription. Good luck.
  • Can’t Hide Finished Books w/o App Freezing

It’s very frustrating when I click Hide Finished in my saved books, it freezes the app now. It’s also frustrating to see the responses to reviews are written by AI.
  • Subscriber beware! Free trial is buggy (if it even exists at all)

I used Everand a few years ago when they were still Scribd and decided to try them out again. I subscribed with the free trial offer, but any time I try to read or listen to a book, it just says I have no subscription and need to sign up. My Apple account says my subscription is active, so what gives? EDIT: Checking my bank statement, it turns out this scummy company charged me even though it said it was a free trial. I want my money back. EDIT #2: Upon trying to re-log in with my account, apparently the subscription is not linked to it! So I have no way to use the subscription I have been charged for. Absolutely ridiculous.
  • So much for a once-great subscription

I can’t express how frustrated and angry I am, as a long-term Scribd subscriber, about the company’s blatant broken promises. I was assured that I could keep access to my previously finished content if I did NOT upgrade to one of the new (overpriced and inadequate) subscription plans. For a while, this was the case, but just this week, titles that I use for language learning regularly are now marked as unavailable without an “upgraded” subscription. I am furious. For many years, I loved Scribd so much that I gave subscriptions to friends and family members. Now we are all beyond annoyed. What a terrible way to treat long-term customers.
