    Lately since the year started I been trying to open the app, and it’s not working! I’m wondering if it needs an app update since Apple keeps updating its version!. Every time I try opening the app the loading screen pops and it stays there! At this point I don’t know what to do! Can someone please help?.

    I’m a paying customer (Bible Gateway Plus subscriber). The web version is great. But the iOS version needs help! 1) When I attempt to search the Bible, the App sometimes is frozen with a white page. 2) If I want to see resources for a verse, say John 3:16, I have to open up each Study Bible or Commentary and then search John 3:16 in each of those resources EACH TIME. Overall, a terribly clunky experience. (Don’t get me started about the full page ad. I’m already a paying customer). Update 2.16.25: Would love to keep this but with the Bible search function STILL broken for ios18.x, I’m canceling my Bible Gateway+ subscription. A potentially great resource that desperately needs better testing.

    I used to really enjoy this app as it offers several translations, but I find trying to do a quick check on a verse is easier to do on Google than in this app. I don’t want have to sit and watch an advertisement about playing an online video game just to find a scripture verse. I understand that you’ve got to post ads to make up for this app being free, but how about advertisements that are relatable to the app itself an not minute long? Ridiculous.

    I’ve been a user for a long time and I hate to look elsewhere but the ads have pushed me away. I’m not opposed to paying a small fee… but $60/yr is RIDICULOUS!

    Many translations available, which is appreciated. I rarely write reviews, however unfortunately I felt compelled to because of how intrusive the full screen advertising has become. Sometimes I cannot even find the X to close out of the ad, and have to force close the app and reopen just to read the Bible. Banner ads at the bottom of the screen would be a much better alternative if advertising is imperative. I will likely be exploring alternatives unless this is addressed soon.

    Since they added all those pop up ads, I can’t even read my verse of the day. It literally makes you watch several minutes of ad before you are able to “X” out and see the Bible Verse. Very disappointed in this development because I used to enjoy being able to read my verse first thing upon awakening. Shopping for another app

    I have used this app for many years. I used the website before it even had a app. My favorite go to app. I never want to be without it. 🙂 Sadly I have now (2/25) removed it from my devices as it no longer works. No matter what I do, even deleting it & re-installing doesn’t cure the problem. Such a sad day.

    Full screen ads take control of iPad or iPhone. No way to exit. Ironic such an unethical practice from bible software maker. If I could give it zero stars I would. DO NOT DOWNLOAD!
