  • You screwed up the app once again

For years, you’ve been placing ads in front of our face. You put making a buck in front of the importance of scripture. After 2 strokes, I rely on the audio version, Today, I turned it on and it opens a second page with a full screen version of rotating ads in my face. When I tried to switch to the scripture verses to follow along, the audio stops. You are now forcing people to stare at ads, rather than follow along with scripture. You have become shameful,

i used to love bible gateway. i have used it many times when i needed to find a verse. but now when you download this app, its nothing but predatory advertisements that disrupt the experience of using the app. you can’t do anything without an ad for a game you don’r want being shoved down your throat. i can understand banner ads, but these full page ads that take you out of the bible make finding a verse while in church a terrible user experience. makes the app almost unusable. there are much better bible apps now.

Greedy and mean app. Stay away from it ! Zondervan and NIV are the worst companies in the world! You cannot get into the app since the initial ad for a game stays forever!
  • Bible typically doesn’t open

I use this app to look up and read a few verses or a chapter of the Bible during my devotions. 70% of the time, trying to open the Bible from the menu in upper left, all I see is a white speck where the lookup should be appearing. Tech support response has been great but the issue continues and I either have to restart the phone or download the app again. Perhaps not that big a deal but it seems to be a basic issue.

I’ve tried multiple times to use this app and it just keeps popping off to an ad… I’m willing to even pay, but it doesn’t let me look at this screen long enough to see what the options are! Going to try another program
  • 10 sec in…BAM! Ad

Just downloaded the app, set preferences, got to the main screen, and an ad pops up across the whole screen before I even get a chance to see or do anything else! Bad sign. Immediately deleted the app.

I used to loved this app but the addition of constant ads is annoyingly distracting. I understand they’re trying to establish a business model, but there’s got to be another way.
  • Great if not for horrible ads

Every time I open this app to use it, I’m bombarded with ads that are hard to close. Today was the last straw, a suggestive bra ad took over my entire screen. Horrible, especially for young men trying to use this app. Surely there’s another way to make this app sustainable.
  • Added ads

I have used this Bible app for years and in the last year or so they added ads to it, so before you can read your daily reading in the Bible you now get to watch an ad. Hate it. After having this app for 5 years now I will delete.
