You can’t even delete it. I download the app open it up after showing me all it can do and ad comes up and holds me hostage. I then want to delete the app there is no way to delete it. So now I have this worthless app I’ll never open again stuck on my phone. Don’t get it!!!!

Used to be the best Bible app because of the lack of distractions but now it’s an add farm. You can’t even look up a Bible verse without watching an unstoppable add. Very disappointing to see.

App unusable now that ads take too long to even begin using the app
  • Commercials ruined it

I used to love listening to the Bible on this app. But that was before the commercials when I open the app. I did reach out and got an email about ads being a way to raise funds or I could pay a monthly subscription to go ad-free. I expect commercials on tv, the radio and websites, but to have to pay to avoid them to read or listen to the Bible? After that email, I decided I’d try again. That commercial was a scam about my phone storage being full with a flashing button to tap to fix it and an emergent buzzing. I deleted the app. Since your mission is to reach people around the world with the Bible, why not raise your funds honorably and not irritate people into paying a subscription. I’ve switched to the app of a Bible website that just asks for a donation with options to donate, decline or remind later, no Google commercials involved to pressure people. Just asking.

I have this app on two different devices and not one of them are working. Both are updated to the latest version but yet I can’t get the Bible to open. I think I need to try another app.

I went in to set up the app. Pick your translation, font size I was ready to go. The first thing, the very first thing that I encountered was an ad that I could not tap out of. I had to close the app and then try to reload it with another ad. This makes the app unusable. I’m so sorry, but this needs to change.
  • New audio is terrible

Why does my favorite version of the Bible in audio form sound like it’s been transferred to horrible quality recording? It’s awful now. I can’t stand to listen to it. I have to search for another way to listen.

Want to watch a bunch of senseless advertising? This app is for you! Want to actually read the Bible? Probably better to just bring the book with you. This app will never show it to you. Shame on you, Harper Collins.

I use Bible gateway on my laptop and that works fine - but the app audio feature glitches so badly it’s insufferable. I have been trying to listen to the psalms as I read along, but every few minutes the audio settings reset to the default ESV voice, which only recorded the New Testament, and suddenly I’m hearing Matthew 1 for the hundredth time. It’s frustrating.
