  • Cluttered Navigation and so many tabs, forced check-in

    This app used to be the app that if someone asks me what app I love as a frontend engineer, I used to talk about how clean the UI/UX is all the time. Now, to get to the same content that I used to access it requires 3-4 clicks. Because the product team seems to be obsessed with adding more features and more tabs. It’s become one of those apps where clearly no one gets promoted by simplifying stuff. It’s so cluttered. And I can get therapy from other places if I need that service.
  • In App Ads Make it Less Calming

    It’s hard to get calm when you get constantly barraged with ads for therapists in the app. There should be an option to opt out of these obtrusive ads.

    I have been using this app since i was a kid. Ive had multiple subs to this app but to come back to it now in a time where i need it and practically everything is locked behind a sub paywall... Smh its greedy and its not fair.

    I’ve used Headspace since 2015, so 10 years and counting. I used to love this app and referred it to so many people. I’m a paid lifetime subscriber. But it’s gone way downhill. The layout has become a complete mess and you get non-stop pop ups at every step of The journey. Too many features and so much clutter in the app. For example, you used to be about 3 taps from a middle of night SOS session if you needed it. Needed a soothing meditation. Boom. There. Wanted to do a course instead of an individual. Boom there. Now it’s so featured packed and trying to do so many things it’s ironically a stressful experience. T try big to find your favorite l, go-to meditation? Good luck with that. Also, I say this as a lifelong Democrat and liberal: It’s also just overwhelmed with woke-ism. Desp it’s being quite liberal sometimes I’m overwhelmed by the world and actually don’t want politics, even my own politics, to be infused into what’s supposed to be a zen, calming experience. This is supposed to be a break from it all. And really loved it from 2015 to around 2019-2020. Then liked it from 2021-2022. But now, oof. I still use it occasionally but it is STRESSFUL to use. Please clean things up. Your job isn’t to drive app engagement. It’s to drive app consistency. There’s a difference. The former is about eating up the user’s time and taking advantage of their impulses. The latter is about giving them their time and life back. Please focus on this. Also, Andy’s voice was your competitive advantage. Why are you giving up on it? Other voices are a dime a dozen and any meditation app can replicate it.

Each update brings even more calm, insight, and support 💛 Only thing missing? A home screen widget! Would love quick access to my daily session or a little mindful reminder 🌿 Thank you, Headspace team — this app has been pure peace in my pocket 💫

    I have been a long time headspace fan. The content is amazing on Headspace, but the new organization is terrible You can’t find anything. Everything is missing. I don’t know what they’ve done but it’s awful.
  • Very laggy and Unresponsive

    I have had a decent time with headspace in the past (especially with its instructors as they have a very soothing and calm voice) but lately whenever I sit down to mediate, the app is extremely slow and laggy. It’s just spinning wheel after another whenever I am trying to load anything so much so that I have to repeatedly find another meditation routine on youtube. On top of that, the Ebb menu is so incorrectly placed and should either be removed from the main menu options or switched with the Explore menu option.

    The watch app was always buggy, but it just disappeared and nothing was said about it! Please bring it back. I like to meditate while I walk without having to bring my phone.
  • Feels more like AI led sessions than a real meditation tool

    Save the money! Find a podcast channel with real practitioners! think there are maybe 3 prerecorded practitioner meditations on there. Once you listen to them once your annual plan is pretty much useless unless you want to keep going back to the same sessions. Andy’s do not even appear to be real since you can choose any length. I suspect AI taking over. The human, communal side of it is simply no longer there. This is useful for someone who has never tried mindfulness, but honestly no longer feels geared towards adults or anyone who already has a practice. Nothing is ever live and the overall service offering has significantly declined in terms of offering.
