  • Bad search function, glitchy site

    Luckily I subscribe to both the paper and online formats because even when I search for the EXACT title of an article published in the paper edition on the app edition it often comes up empty!!! Also it’s glitchy. For example, I was sending an article by email and composing the accompanying message when it cut out completely, bouncing me back to the main page and completely erasing what I’d written. Needs work.

    Terrible service on this subscription. I paid for a year renewal and I never know when I can get into this version of the paper. I have no idea what changed but it is extremely frustrating.

    Never seen a newspaper so afraid to have actual conversations in the comments section and do their actual job. Weak, but expected as they shift their views more to the extreme right.

    Though I've been in contact with the paper multiple times, and paying a stupid amount for access, I can only get access on my phone. I want to read it on a larger screen. For the amount I'm paying, I should get a free dedicated ipad on which I could actually access the paper!

  • Glitches that the magazine won't support resolving

    I have a recurrent account and have been making payments through my apple subscription system. When I use the app, after a couple of articles, I am blocked and get a pop up to subscribe or log in. When I click "log in," the link doesn't advance to a login page. This has been happening for over a month. Since the glitch didn't seem to be resolving, I tried to find an email for support at star tribune and one wasn't readily available from searching. I called and was told I would need to talk to Apple about my subscription. I kept reiterating that the app doesn't work to take you to a log in screen for entering my credentials for an account and they said I should talk to Apple. After over a month of not having access and no plan for the company resolving the issues on their own app, I will not be continuing my subscription. I joined to support local news but it isn't worth the effort if I can't access the content.

    Impossible to get help from the STAR Tribune by phone or Ai or assistant chat to view the news edition in newspaper form rather than in articles. I have the app and I have received notice through email. the articles edition appears..

  • Not a “news” paper
