  • Many quirks

Took me FOREVER to become accustomed to this app after MFP. I’m still super frustrated by it. It’s annoying when you’re searching something by typing in the item and all these irrelevant things come up. So you go to your favorites and you have to type in the item again. If you go to “recents” first and it’s not there, you’re typing it in for a 3rd time. Many small time wasters like this when you just want to eat. The only way this really works if you don’t pay attention to any other entries but your own and you eat the same things all the time and make sure you include the grams in the description because if you threw away the packaging, you won’t know the serving size. But you can waste time going to the website to find it and now your food is cold or your partner is done eating. Scanning the barcode apparently doesn’t work because the values are wrong and it’s somewhat true. Just making it more difficult. I don’t pretend to be smarter than these app developers. It’s probably my age or my short attention span but after 3 months, it’s only moderately easier. Thank goodness for AI in many of my cases. Minor annoyance, I wish it would show you your week’s averages so if you had 1 cheat day and 6 really good days, you could see where you averaged.
  • Did you ruin this app?

I used to use this app regularly and had all of my meals named with my macro goals for that meal and a bunch of favorite foods. Now I come back to the app after a few months not counting and discover you’ve wiped ALL of that away and ruined all the effort I put into this app previously. Please tell me I’m just missing something!

  • Incorrect calorie info

Idk why on my phone, when I scan the barcode or when I scan the label, it doesn’t record the correct info for the items macro’s. Greek yogurt for an example, is 100 cal and 17g of protein. But when I scan it and I it shows up as 5g of protein per serving. Not really happy with the purchase I made in this app.

I’m on day 506 using your app. In general it’s been exactly what I needed. I need to know the time I entered a meal. I’m getting old & fuzzy. I check to see what I’ve eaten and where my numbers are, it would be helpful to see the time stamp. It might be a loose gage of how frequently I’m eating. A monthly, weekly, yearly report showing my stats. Was I eating too frequently during the holidays. I think that would be cool to see & explore.
  • Upgrade to enter oz

Seriously? You fail to scan the barcode correctly then want to charge me to manually enter the oz-based serving in the label.

I had been using this app for years and I love it, so easy to use. Well I logged out one days and I’ve been using it so long I forgot my username and password. I reached out to customer support and they help me get back in. There are may tracking apps out there but this is by far the best!
  • Can’t add notes

They removed the ability to add notes to your day and placed it behind the paywall of subscription. Something as basic and important any tracking app should have.
  • Bring back the old barcode scanner

I’ve used this app for 4 years now and have loved it. Recently the barcode scanner changed, and it’s horrible. It used to automatically scan and now you need to take a picture and most of the time it can’t detect the barcode. I don’t understand how it got drastically worse but please fix it. It used to be quick and convenient. Now it’s a hassle. I sat here trying to scan this barcode for 5 minutes before manually entering the info.

Overall I enjoy MM+. Customer service is very prompt with responding to issues. As for the app, I find that most the foods I scan do not match the nutritional label. So it’s easier for me to just add each one in line by line on the nutrition label. Maybe that’s an issue with the nutritional bar codes? I also feel there extra clicking that needs to be done between recipes and logging individual ingredients, but once you get used to it, it’s fine. It would be nice to have the last food logged pop up as the last entered amount (grams, ounces, etc) instead of “1” each time. These may possibly be something with my settings being incorrect but overall it allows for the intended purpose.
