  • The App is unstable

I have subscribed to the Chronicle online for three years. The mobile app has been unstable for a while and very glitchy despite deleting and reinstalling it numerous times a week. The App freezes and even when it doesn’t and can scrolls down a page, the settings and icons at the bottom of the page are unresponsive unless I delete and reinstall all the app every time I want to read. I have a new iPad (M4) running IOS 26, a high speed stable WiFi connection and do not have these problems with any other app. It has gotten to the point where it is too much trouble to try and read this paper. Hope you have a better experience.

If this paper weren’t so biased politically, it would be much better.

It’s an e newspaper that doesn’t have the most up to date news. It’s a lazy way to run a newspaper.
  • Your strongly political left bias

Your yellow journalism should stop! Just report facts without bias and telling your readers how to interpret the article. Also, you should report positive uplifting factual news, not just negative left bias reporting. An example of my comments is your constant negativity when you write about Mayor Whitmire. Look at the facts, he is working to restore Houston from the ruin Mayor Turner caused! Gary Johnson

Why in this world of digital technology does the sports news have to be a day late? And also why are is there no girls high school sport coverage?
  • Trusted is too strong a word

I skip 80% of your articles because of your liberal bias and get my trusted news from the Wall Street Journal. The new format creates an extra step to try to entice more interest in your liberal content which is a waste of my time. And I can no longer expand articles on the front page unless I click on them which again is another step I don’t want to take. A blue newspaper in a red state will never make money but I’m not sure Hurst cares about anything more than trying to brainwash people with their liberal ideology.
  • Not a good newspaper

I live in Houston and would love to have a paper that keeps me up to date with what's going on. This isn't it. I think it’s embarrassing that the Chronicle can’t even keep up with the home sports teams’ previous night’s results. I live in Boston in the summer, and I get the Astros scores from the previous night there, even though Boston is in Eastern time. I don’t understand why the Boston Globe, which is at a one hour disadvantage from the Chronicle, can get the scores and the Chronicle cannot.
  • Too many liberal based slants.

I fire them every year after a few months. Even the business columnist can’t talk business without an attack at Conservatives. But the sports group is clean, speaking only of sports. Talented reporters. Relevent. Know their material. I end up missing them, and resubscribe. I was a print subscriber for 40+ years. I was paying money that I felt would was supporting extreme socialism/ approaching communism.

I tried subscribing twice and it just took my money and says I’m not subscribed.
