  • A day late and glitches in format

The news is always a day behind. If anything happens in the afternoon or evening it won’t be in the nest day’s paper. Today I can’t read the paper because a USA Today ad pops up when I try to log on and I can’t escape.

This digital version is not easy to download. It is slow and sometimes doesn’t download the current issue. Go back to your previous version, please.

I am a reader of the e-paper, primarily. This app no longer allows screen rotation (portrait to landscape). This really hinders my ability to read my ‘paper’ comfortably, with ease, pleasure or enjoyment. This option was available until the last big change to the app. I now realize that that ability to rotate the screen is what made the transition from the printed paper to the e-paper tolerable. Please return/add this simple and essential feature to the app. Thank you! Neal Hagood 43 year Austin American Statesman subscriber

Nice coverage locally, state, and nationally. They need to bring back sports with when and where to watch. Big loss. A Saturday print paper would be nice

I have the digital version of this newspaper because I live here. It’s good for 1-2 day old local news and 2 day old local and national sports. The editorial staff is completely biased against American ideals and touts a biased DEI, LGBTQwhatever far left point of view of view. If I had a better option, I’d run to it
  • Concern for quality of digital editions

Under the new ownership of the Statesman, the digital editions of the paper is of far less quality than previously. The focus is slow to become clear and legible. Additionally, the sentences often have words jammed together requiring the reader to have to decipher what is being stated. Overall, in my opinion, the digital editions are in serious need of additional scrutiny by the editing staff. I implore those responsible to give these editions considerable scrutiny, as the current product falls far below the level of what would be considered a quality product.

The last two day, the app won’t load the e- newspaper. I deleted the app and reinstalled it. The enewspaper then downloaded. Today, it’s not working again. I can load the sections but not the entire newspaper.
