Description

Jesus Calling is your yearlong guide to living a more peaceful life. The Jesus Calling App is the mobile version of the time-tested classic packed with digital and audio features that make this daily devotional more accessible than ever. Experience a deeper relationship with Jesus as you savor the presence of the One who understands you perfectly and loves you forever. With Scripture and personal reflections, New York Times bestselling author Sarah Young brings Jesus' message of peace—for today and every day. By spending time in the presence of the Savior with the much-loved devotions from Sarah Young, you will: • Feel comforted by a daily word of hope and encouragement • Be reassured of Jesus' unending blessings and love for you • Receive gentle guidance based on daily Scripture readings • Connect with Jesus further with reflection and meditation based on God’s Word Written as if Jesus Himself is speaking directly to you, Jesus Calling invites you to experience peace in the presence of the Savior who is always with you. These writings are personal reflections based on Jesus’ own words of hope, guidance, and peace within Scripture—penned by one who loved Him and revered His Word. The Bible is the only infallible, inerrant Word of God, and author Sarah Young kept her writings consistent with that unchanging standard during her lifetime. She wrote from the perspective of Jesus speaking, to help readers feel more personally connected with Him. So, the first person singular (“I,” “Me,” “My,” “Mine”) always refers to Christ; “you” refers to you, the reader. • Really? a devotional behind a paywall?

As a believer, I truly don’t understand why access to encouragement, prayer, and the Word needs to come with a subscription. Jesus never charged people to hear the gospel. In fact, Scripture says, “Freely you have received; freely give.” (Matthew 10:8) I know people put time and effort into devotional writing and app development, and I respect that. But when spiritual content is treated like a premium feature, it starts to feel more like a business than a ministry. It’s especially disheartening for those who may be struggling and can’t afford to pay, yet are seeking God. Please consider making the full devotionals free and trusting that God will provide another way to sustain this ministry. The gospel was meant to be shared, not sold.

Can't access the daily readings anymore. Why? Instead pressured to buy extra things and was happy with simple daily message.
  • Can’t access my purchase

I purchased this app a number of years ago and for the past six or seven years, I haven’t been able to access the app. After contacting the company they gave me somewhere around it but nothing ever worked so my purchase has literally gone in vain. I initially got the book in 2006 and read it daily. But not having access to my purchase and the frustration of trying to work with the company, I’ve given up and gone to the other sources. The app is so much more convenient. It was excellent while it lasted, it seems that the service would be reinstated or funds reimbursed. From all the reviews I’ve read there are many people with the same issues. Why continue to offer a service that you know is not working.

I have purchased this THREE different times, every time I have to change my device they refuse to restore my purchase and the excuse is always that customer service is too busy and they “will get back to me” but NEVER do. This company is a scam and should be removed from the platform.

Why did they have to start charging after I actually bought the app originally? Greed factor

I had this app and enjoyed it while it was free, now charging a monthly fee for it is so wrong, I've decided to delete it.
