  • Will not load RAW from iPad nor does Double Exposure work

I have an iPad 6 pro running OS 17.6.1. It shares cloud photos with my iPhone, but it will not load RAW photos taken from the iPhone, although it will load them from the iPhone. It’s a bit frustrating, as I’ve used Snapseed for over 7 years now, and having purchased the iPad strictly for photo editing and art, I’m going to have to find a different app. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Snapseed is still my favorite photo editor for routine editing. It does far more than it seems on first glance. I love that I can review my layers of edits and then, by directly painting, remove or reduce an effect (25, 50 or 75%) on a specific portion of my photo. I'd be lost without Snapseed.

I have used this editor for years on android devices. Loved it. Thought I would give it try on my new iPad, given its pencil pro functionality. However, the app constantly crashes while I’m in the middle of an edit. So I am forced to close the app and start from scratch. It’s random and not a memory or processing issue. Snapseed has the features… but lacks big time in stability.

Snapseed sends to be my go to and has for over 10 years. Raw files get stuck now and I have to start over. The healing button needs MAJOR HELP! Besides those 2 issues, I still love it.
  • Still my favorite!
